Free Halo DLC Crimson Pack?

Charged 0 points and about 1/3 through the download atm

eta: clicking the purchase history link does give me a page not found though
 
What worked for me was signing into Live on the Dashboard and loading Halo 4.
Loading the game at start up or signing in in-game did not work with four separate profiles.
 
Yep - I followed those - didn't work for me. I signed in to dash like I always do then loaded up halo 4 then got the msg about the update then went to the marketplace within the game (had a gold star by it) and it showed 800 pts. I quit out to dash and signed out then back in then loaded halo 4 and there was no star by the marketplace anymore and still 800 pts.

*edit* Nephew just tried and didn't get it to work for him either. We were not playing Halo at the time - my xbox wasn't even on - just turned it on to try this.
 
gotta go through the game , xbox marketplace option, i cant even get it, i cant open my copy until the 25th, btw your welcome ! happy holidays!
 
well that stinks. Now my season pass purchase doesn't seem like such a nice discount if people are getting this pack for free.
 
I can confirm it so far, I have it downloaded about 70% right now, and my brother has his downloading right now as well. Maybe it's some sort of unannounced thing for people who played the game on day 1 or something? I don't know. Seems odd but I remember this happening a couple years ago with Fable 2 and all the DLC
 
It worked for me! I just completed my download and I've already played a match. (I purchased the game a couple of weeks ago, so that throws out the day 1 player theory). I think it's just a glitch (seems to be US only). Let's hope they let us keep it.

shows up 800 msp for me
nvm got it to show up 0 for me now ( i signed out, then started Halo4, when it prompted i signed in & a msg came up for crimson mp at 0 msp)

Not working for me.

I tried loading Halo 4 without being signed in until it asked to choose a profile. Went to Marketplace from the main menu but still see Crimson for 800.

Thats what I see as well
 
They probably fixed it. I think they mixed up people who had season pass and people who didnt. Oh well I can't complain :D

NOTE: i didnt go to the marketplace from the menu it was a window pop up when logged in
1) start halo4 w/out signing in
2) sign in when prompt to
3) a msg came up promoting the crimson map pack *this is where it was stated transaction: 0 msp after i clicked onto the pop-up
4) NOT FOUND on xboxlive.com or in-game tab download. (again it was a pop-up msg when i started up after signing in)

Ok I can confirm you need the Early Specialization code for that menu to show up because I just went to get that code from my email in as soon as I put the code in that menu popped up on the halo 4 menu
 
Worked for my friend (I have season pass so could not get on it, the worst feeling is I bought it only yesterday) and we live in Australia.

how i got it to work was

start the game signed off

when prompted. sign in to ur gamertag

the ad will then pop up advertising the new maps

click go on the add and it will bring up the transaction page (note: do not click marketplace well its loading.

the transaction page will load and state your current mp value (i had 150) and the price of the item which is currently 0.

click confirm and enjoy ur download :D

This is how you get the maps for free. You need the specialization codes that MS sent out.
 
Thanks OP. Lucky, I played a few Halo games on the November 19th to get specialization code.

Another method to try is

Go to Halo waypoint then load back up halo 4 and there should be a star next to marketplace. Click it and it will start downloading the crimson map pack.
