bye bye eve. kaitlyn is hotter.

That magazine picture of Kaitlyn they showed was the hottest she's ever looked. I want to see more of that Kaitlyn on TV.

I'm enjoying this Raw, but 30 second clips of past Raws after a commercial break isn't enough to celebrate an anniversary.

That's just sour grapes by Sheamus. If he had his own band with Finlay and Regal, he wouldn't have lost.

I think Kaitlyn would be gorgeous as a blonde or a brunette, but just not both at once.

Dear God, I wish I was watching right now just to see that. Alas, I must wait until it hits YouTube/Hulu....

That whole Woo exchange between Flair and Miz made me wish Ryder would come out. I can't stand Miz.

Someone needs to make an animated gif of the Funkadelics going "cheek to cheek."

Yes and no - certainly all "Sooperstars™" pass some kind of looks test, for the most part. Big, beefy, super muscular dudes that get Vince McMahon all hard will get a million chances, while El Generico and Kassius Ohno probably will not.

So I wouldn't single out female wrestlers as being subject to beauty standards. Most wrestlers are.

Well yeah, but Vincent knows his demographic too. A big, scary, fairly ugly guy could make it if he were a monster. The closest female WWE'er I can think fits that was China. Vincent basically wants models to roll around with each other and take an inordinate amount of time to bend over for the camera. Not to say none of them have talent, but their ring work wasn't the talent vince was most worried about.

Heard about Eve leaving the WWE. Looking at what WWE put up on their YouTube channel. Nothing really catching my eye aside from a circus curiosity to see if Eve did drop the title to Kaitlyn. Interesting how I have more faith in TNA than WWE, at this point in time. The division has been dead for a years, but Eve put on better matches than most of the dudes. I guess it's time to have Gracie babies. And Kaitlyn does a proper, roll-through spear. Very puro of her. Looks better than Edge's.

TNA is doing their taped PPVs 3-4 months in advance? The taped thing is weird enough, but taped that far ahead just makes no sense at all.

Hope Cesaro beats Orton on the Wednesday show. I assume the clean loss yesterday means Orton is either taking more time off or turning, but would be nice to see Cesaro beat him before that.

Last night's show was a letdown. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose viewing has dropped off but was looking forward to last night hoping to see a nostalgia-fest. I was disappointed that the rumored Evolution reunion didn't happen. No Austin, Michaels, Hart, HHH, or Undertaker. There's just so much they could've done, but all we got was just another episode of modern-day shitty Raw.

I agree I watched last night for the first time in awhile, and was bored. The highlight was watching Edge impersonate Ric Flair's road rage incident on YouTube. Seven years old and still better than today's product.

only if you want more from the game. ask yourself that question and look deep within your soul. if you can't figure it out by then well go and rub one out and then think about it some more. thats usually the process i do when i can't make a decision.

Yeah. It was a standard RAW with clips thrown in to pay lip service to the 20-year milestone. RAW 1000 did a better job of celebrating the show's histiry.

2 quick questions for ya:

Has Cena learned any new moves in the next ~10 yrs?
Has Triple H run the company into the ground, or did he manage to turn it around?

I saw Raw 1500. They announced that The Cybertaker will face Aurora Rose Helmsley at Wrestlemania in a "streak vs streak" intergender match.

If somebody had told me back in the 90s that one day Hunter Hearst Helmsley would be running the company I would have laughed.

Whoops. Somehow I got it in my head that the last milestone was the 1500th episode and not the 1000th.

1) Nope. His promos are even worse these days, too - as he speaks to the crowd in juvenile phrases aimed at a 5-year old's sense of humor, and then mocks people for saying juvenile things (as he did w/ Ziggler a few weeks back). It's the most peculiar thing to see, like Glenn Beck accusing someone of hyperbole and overreaction - you can't believe that someone has the audacity to accuse someone of doing the same thing they do themselves.

2) It's improved in a number of ways. It's not great, but it's getting better for certain. Unless you're a female wrestler. But match quality has improved. If I can remember, I'd like to watch Antonio Cesaro vs. Randy Orton tonight on the Main Event. Which is the first time for me for a number of things - (a) looking forward to a match with Randy Orton in it, (b) going out of my way to watch Main Event, and © remembering that Main Event is a tv program that's on every week.

It's far too early in Triple H's tenure to pass judgment. I'm reticent to say he's even truly taken over the reigns - but there are pretty evident differences.

On an unrelated note, this blog skewers The Rock and his recent promos. I didn't see the last hour of Raw this past Monday (if you pay attention to the ratings each week, I'm one of those people who changes the channel b/w the 2nd and 3rd hour every time - the show just doesn't hold my interest any longer), but if it's anything like the Rock's promo from the other week, I think the blogger has a good point overall regarding the sexism of both the Rock and the Attitude Era in general:

Random question:

As wrestling fans, what would you guys think of a wrestling game, with an over-the-top storyline, containing drug use as power ups?

Being in the business.... the most used drug is weed, which would make a pretty lame powerup

For those interested, Adrian Neville (PAC) is the opening match on NXT this week. You'll also get to see Trent Baretta in his final WWE televised match. (cue "Leave the Memories Alone")

Just because it is the most used does NOT mean it is the only. Not being in the industry, I can tell you that is a fact!

1) I'd like to watch Antonio Cesaro

That is the point. People are tuning in to watch a low to midcard wrestler, not their main event talent.... I really wish they would have kept Cabana on board, I've seen him and Claudio put on some killer matches.

Very true, on the indy circuit most guys can't afford steroids.... but award for most weed smoked i think goes to Mr Necro Butcher (who is also the most gentle guy you'll ever meet lol)
