Unsecured Webcams
Whoa
Most of the cams on that list are in Russia, Korea, China and France. So if you can't see much activity.....just keep looking.

Awesome, so how do they get on your webcam ? Does the person need to have a computer on, and have a program left open n unattended ? Or is it on purpose ?

I used to watch these all the time back in high school when I was bored. If you're lucky, you'll get some nudey action every great once in a while.
What's your view of viewing unsecured webcams? Ethical? Unethical? It can be argued along the same ethics of an unsecured wi-fi connection.
It's still breaking and entering if the door isn't locked.
Are these people just stupid and leave their webcams on or are people actively hacking/spying on these people?
I did a little digging and I'm certainly not a tech expert but from what I've found is it is common for people to have IP cameras which have their own IP address and stream the video versus the video being carried by a cable.

If you don't secure your IP camera with a little work people can get the IP address, type it into a web browser and.... watch

There was a thread a long time ago on here (I want to say seven years if I'm thinking correctly) that was about unsecured webcams at various locations, as in public restaurants, stores, etc. There was this collection of them and various people in the thread kept talking about the utter mundane activities going on.

In particular, there was one at a donut shop, and you could actually see the phone number for it in the background. Someone from CAG called it and saw the lone person working there actually pick up the phone. "I'm watching you on the internet!" It was way, WAY funnier than it had any right to be.

The woman in the one I posted in OP changed her clothes yesterday in the living room to try on some clothes. At work so couldn't screen shot and when I mentioned it to my g/f she just shook her head.

OK, I'm changing my vote to terrifying. And will start using my webcam to check for hemmorhoids to reward whoever is unlawfully viewing it. Whoa.

LOL.

I blame the people who set up these things.

I saw a blonde walk by who may have been moderately attractive. Was it her?

This can't possibly be legal right? It's got to violate some sort of assumed privacy. I would check out multiple cameras for lulz, but I'm more than slightly concerned that I'd see the feds on my front porch!

Pretty disturbing.

That said, this part sounds hilarious  :

Can't believe that opportunity was blown, OP.

Seriously though, I love when I find lists like this. I think it is interesting just to see the random stuff people have cameras on.

haha in the living room camera from the OP the dude clearly rubbed his balls or scratched his ass crack and then smelled his hand.

This is making me double think getting a security camera for my house. I do some pretty fucked up disgusting things... I don't want to traumatize anyone that might be peeping

The hell is this? How does this happen? Thank God I don't have a webcam, I do have a tablet though.... WTF, this is just jacked up. I never imagined some randoms could just be looking through your camera. Can't you turn a webcam off?

Not that hard and it's a good learning experience on how to keep your network to yourself.

Used to broadcast adjusting your junk to the entire planet as needed, though normally just needed to see what's going on at your house/business while you're not there.

Yes. She has shoulder length hair. She's decent looking. Wouldn't kick out of bed.

It's not hacking. It's like if someone has limo tinted windows in their car and one day they leave one of the windows open. If you happen to walk by and look inside and see something......well that's not your fault.

I can't screen grab and save at work. If I were home, I would have saved and uploaded to this thread.

I scratch my nuts and sniff sometimes. It's a guy thing. However, I wouldn't want the whole world to see. Plus, know camwhores? Know how they privately talk to some guys on stickam or something and the guy uses fraps or something to copy it? Well, I'd be concerned about that being thrown on Youtube.

I use Dropcam for driveway security at my house. I wouldn't put it in my living room.

Like I said in the OP, it's like wifi. If you don't lock your wifi connection up and someone uses it and downloads illegal stuff or shares the connection with other people in his house.....well its your fault for not locking it with a password.

If you google "unsecured webcams" and look on the news section, this has been covered by some media outlets. The information is out there, it's up to the person to make sure they don't leave it open for the world to see.
