Borderlands GOTY - What next?

So I recently finished Borderlands (yes, the first one). I have the GOTY edition - what should I do next? I'm thinking of playing the DLC (I haven't touched it yet) but I'm not sure where to start. I can also do playthrough 2 but I'd like to do something different. I'm a level 37 soldier if that matters. Any suggestions?

I am just about in the same boat (except I got screwed and have practically no ammo for the fight against the final boss), I've heard the DLC order doesnt mean much as long as you save the Claptrap DLC for last. I may just start Borderlands 2 instead

Dude - I haven't had to worry about ammo for a LONG time. I have a mod that automatically regenerates ammo so I ended up finishing the game using mostly my corrosive pistol (2 shots per clip). I came across a bunch of ammo-generating mods so surely you can find one. I leveled up the proficiency to 17 so I was pretty good at it for the last boss (which was tough even with that).

I have a mod that increases ammo capacity but I used a bunch in the last section before the boss and then didnt have nearly enough to finish him off before dying. Just havent had the patience or desire to go back through it yet.

Otherwise, the order doesn't really matter. I'd suggest doing the Robolution DLC last, though.

I was right around where you are when I finished the first time (37 or 38).
I then did a second playthrough to get to 50. It feels like a much more complete game going through the second time. I enjoyed it a lot more.
As for the DLC, if you want to play all of it, your best bet would probably to go in the order of release.
Zombie Island > Moxxi > Secret Armory > Robot Revolution
If you don't want to play all of them, at least play the Secret Armory and Robot Revolution. I didn't care for the other two.

if you want we can coop on borderlands 1, i have yet to play moxxi and robot revolution

Skip Moxxis unless you're a completionist. As for the others, I went Zombie Island > Knoxx > Claptrap.
