Jeepers!  US is kicking ass in the 70-80 range!

I might regret this, but things are slow at work so I decided to tally up all of the PS+ offerings since the beginning for both the US and EU and give the region bias PS+ complainbots some facts to work with. I may or may not keep it up to date, but I will wiki it for others to do so.

It would also be swell if people would just put their 'X region's PS+ is so much better!!!' bitching in this thread so I don't have to see it in every other thread anymore, but that's a pipe dream.

Please note: I don't care at all which one is 'better' or 'worse'. This is intended as an informational resource only. I'm also not tracking discounts and other perks, but someone else is more than welcome to add it if they think it's relevant.

Without further ado - the up-to-date list can be found here for EU and here for US):

Good idea for a thread. There has been a lot of great games for both regions just since the IGC was introduced in June. Rock of Ages was also released for the US for free when it came out in May.

I agree with UNC; great thread, and thanks for putting it together.

EU's January offering looks incredible-- definitely more appealing to me than it was the last time I looked at EU's game list. Might be time to redeem that 30-day EU PS+ code...

That EU list is amazing. When I get around to upgrading my HDD, I'll definitely consider getting an EU PS+ membership on top of my current US PS+ subscription.

good list. By the way, i have a question, does PS+ Asia gets free games? Because i dont think i've ever seen a list about it, or is it a mess in which every country get something diferent?

The only game I'm jealous that EU got for free instead of us is Oddworld. They can keep their old ass retail games that I can easily find for $10-20 and it saves me a ton of hard drive space.

Yeah (I've listed a few of them here), but the selection isn't really on par with the US and EU offerings, in my opinion.

Pretty jealous they have guardians of middle earth...played the demo and enjoyed but i cant see myself putting more then 7.50, like tokyo jungle, down on it.

Tgreat list and hope this gets the posts of people who are comparing and complaining to post here instead of flooding the the PSN store thread.

I agree the EU retail list is better but its not enough for me to get my pitchfork and light my torch.

I would like them to release more PS 1 classics. Personally, thats what I miss the most.

If it makes you feel better, it takes FOREVER to find a match in their online matchmaking service, in my experience. Especially if you choose their players-only mode (i.e., no bots).. when I tried that, I waited for 5+ minutes before quitting the search. I gave up on the game simply because of how long it takes to find a match (that and it's only a mediocre MOBA in my opinion).

It's the old gamecube/xbox Lord of the Rings action games or nothin for me! Considering the penchant for psn games on the US side I bet we'll get our chance soon enough.

Also, I think I'm the only one who isn't spinning around over megaman this week, but I'm glad everyone else seems happy about it.

A small blow to continental equality lands this week as Darksiders is added to the US IGC! While I vaguely remember beating a $5 copy of this quite a while ago, it's a fun universe to yutz around in so I'll take another spin while I'm waiting for DSII to drop.

After all the hate and bitching on other sites about US getting screwed over versus Europe, I tried to find a thread like this earlier today. Glad you bumped this one up as I had not noticed it before. Good work on tracking this information. I could not find it elsewhere.

EU Feb updates, added:

* Sleeping Dogs
* F1 Race Stars
* Quantum Conundrum
* WipeOut 2048
* Lumines ES

Really decent update for EU this month. I'm especially jealous of Lumines!

I'm especially jealous of Sleeping Dogs.

And I'm especially unhappy because I'm going to be reading about the US/EU discrepancy for the next month. :whistle2:(

The comments in the PSN EU Blog for Feb for their plus update are interesting compared to the comments in the US Blog. The EU+ customers are full of effusive praise and appreciation of Sony and more than a few are basically pointing and laughing at the US+ game offers. On the US blog, you can barely see through the vitriol of complaints, the majority of which are juvenile and poorly formed arguments that come off as spoiled, just a playground for the trolls really, which is an environment fed by perceived poor customer treatment.

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/01/28/playstation-plus-your-february-content/

I sure hope SCEA has something major up their sleeves for the US soon. I'd be happy with Dishonored if it came in the next 1-2 months (not counting on it), although any content that is as fresh (Sleeping Dogs was released 5 months ago!) and exciting as what EU gets (even if it's a game I'm not interested in) would at least helpf me feel like it's going in a better direction. I wasn't really enamored with the SD demo, so I'm not as disappointed as many others, but geeze they give US really old stuff by comparison, it's hard to ignore.

I always thought the content between the two were fair...but seeing this list and comparing the two has made me understand why people are so jealous of Europe.

I personaly dont understand the jealousy, anyone can get eu+ as well. I know i have 3 free months now. Also, i dont understand why people cant understand region differences...sleeping dogs probably just has a more continuous sale projection in the us, where in europe there is less projected sales and they hope to make money off the dlc. The idea of making games free for europeans (who pay eay more for base games) makes sense because they will be more likely to buy dlc then a semi-new overpriced meh game.

Updated with yet another continental equality week - the oh so bitchin Vanquish hits the US IGC tomorrow along with Mega Man Maverick Hunter X (or something like that).

Awesome update. If you're going to burn a free month or buy an EU card make sure to redeem it soon before they expire the other stuff if you're interested in Sleeping Dogs or Limbo:

Leaving PS Plus in March:
6th March: Sleeping Dogs
6th March: Vanquish
6th March: LIMBO
13th March: Wipeout 2048
20th March: Lumines Electronic Symphony

Edit: Pre-updated EU offering for March. Make sure that if you're about to sign up that you check the links in the OP to determine what's currently active.

I predict either an out of the park surprise for US March PS+ (like DmC or Borderlands 2) or a carrot to encourage sales of another game (Dead Space 2, Metal Gear something for PS3, etc). No matter what we get, the reaction will be excessively negative and annoying.

Added the last of the February US games (PvZ).

Question: If they upped the cost to $60 and gave us a mirror of the EU offerings, would you pay it? Just looked up the conversion to buy an EU PS+ sub and it comes out right at $60 USD. I've been perfectly happy with US PS+ so far but I wonder if that extra $10 would make a difference.

Also, fun fact - looks like a couple countries where Sleeping Dogs is banned (Germany for example) instead got the eternally kickass Binary Domain.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but I have a European account on my ps3. I live in America and I was wanting to subscribe to EU ps+. Would it be possible to just buy a European ps+ card online and redeem it on my ps3 without having to use a credit card?

Might be possible, but likely very difficult. Not sure what you would use as an alternative to a credit card (unless you're talking about using a credit card to buy your PS+ card). Even so, folks have apparently had a bitch of a time acquiring a PS+ card from EU sources lately. Best of luck to you!

If anybody knows an easy source to get EU PS+ codes or subs please post because it really was a huge pain in the ass for me when I tried to sign up for it. I ended up getting lucky and buying codes off of ebay UK from a random seller but other than that I don't know where I would have gotten them.

I'd suggest a site called MaximusCards, they e-mail you your code and it isn't as pricey as eBay.

The March update looks really good, always wanted to try out Spec Ops since everyone was talking about it when it came out.

Don't want to clutter up PSN thread, so I'll bitch here. So jealous of Okami HD EU

I'd trade 4, or even all 5 US April games (have Demon's Souls on disc but it's $19.99 digital anyway, don't have other 4 but I care zero about them) for just 1 Okami HD. It's only $19.99, digital only title, but I'd rather have that than US April offerings.

Silly thing is, I have the game on PS2 and was thinking of getting it on Wii for the motion control, but PS3 HD version would be so much better. I hardly ever double dip, and especially not full MSRP, been waiting on a sale.

Never jealous of the disc games EU get since I have/had 90% of them on disc already. So I bitch for different reasons. EU also got (mostly) day of release Machinarium, Hell Yeah! Rabbit, Limbo, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD, Knytt Underground, etc. I'm more jealous of those.

Disclaimer: I still love the service and what it offers. Great value! No way I'm canceling PS+ for years to come (provided PS4 doesn't mess things up). Just hard not to be jealous when we get junk like Zombie Tycoon 2, Labyrinth Legends, Malicious, Fighting Game #___ all in 1 month.

Happy to have Demon's Souls personally (as it gives me an excuse to sell off the physical copy that I'll never play) and I am looking forward to plowing through Malicious. I've never played Okami but with all the love it gets I'm sure that trading all the US offerings for the month for it would probably be pretty even.

Wow, that's bullshit. I saw Demon's Souls and was like thanks for a game everyone has already played three years ago. . .

I played Okami for about an hour long ago and couldn't get into it. For free, I would have actually downloaded a game for once in over a year of PS+. Thanks for nothing!

jesus..you guys realize you could just buy a gameshare of okami for like 7 bucks (or like 3 for a nonsellable spot)? or rent it from someone for a dollar?
jesus..you guys realize you could just buy a gameshare of okami for like 7 bucks (or like 3 for a nonsellable spot)? or rent it from someone for a dollar?
exactly, I paid full price for Okami HD and bought the PS2 one when it came out back in '06, no regrets...but EU having DOA5, MGS HD, Sleeping Dogs, VLR etc. makes me jealous
jesus..you guys realize you could just buy a gameshare of okami for like 7 bucks (or like 3 for a nonsellable spot)? or rent it from someone for a dollar?
I don't want/need to own it. For free, I would've tried playing it again at least.

I really don't see why people who complain so much just don't go buy enough PSN cards to buy Plus or a PS+ card for Europe, make a Europe account, redeem the card(s) and get their PS+. Or do what I did to get Sleeping Dogs when it was available. I made 1 Europe account to use the 30 day PS+ trial that was going on and made a second one near the time the 1st one expired so I could tie the game to the second account and finish it. I ended up platinuming Sleeping Dogs during that time and saved some money. Thanks Sony!

I say it's certainly better than sitting on your ass, crying about Europe's games being "so much better" and "unfair" on a message board or blog.

Hey I signed up for an EU PS+ account free for 30 days. After downloading the games for free I wanted from the EU account I then log into my US PS+ account and play them. My question is will I still be able to play the EU downloads from my US PS+ account after the 30days on the EU PS+ expires?

Nope - those games are tied to the PS+ expiration date on the account that "purchased" them.

Well, to be completely honest I'd never even have PS+ if not for the Target price mistake and even then I only bought it for cloud saves. My only real complaint is that the US offering of games has never been something I've cared about. EU has been given again and again games I would've checked out.
