The only games I don't own that I'm interested in are DKC and Freedom Planet and I'm sure the latter will get better sales later on, so I grabbed DKC.

If you like the old 2D Sonic games or even just Sega Genesis games in general you should check out Freedom Planet.

I already own it on Steam and I'm thinking I might get it on Wii U just to have a semi-portable version.

I picked up DKC with some left over credit, only had to pay a little over a dollar for it. Nice that we can play it on the gamepad. Hope the others go on sale.

I'm so happy to see sales on classic NES games. Definitely picking up Castlevania.  Also getting Earthbound to see what all the hype is about.

Is Breath of Fire and LoZ: Minish Cap any good?

Yeah I mean if you like Zelda or 16 Bit RPGS, they're good, BoF can be archaic and later ones were better but its a good one.

Honestly, I never finished Minish Cap, but from what I played it was pretty awesome.

Even I might pick this up with Earthbound.

Agh I just bought Earthbound 3 days ago. No chance for any courtesy adjustment from Nintendo I assume?

I doubt it, but the worst they can do is say "No."

No one ever seems to like Minish Cap but it's one of my personal favorites in the series.

I'll probably grab Affordable Space Adventures. I love Minish Cap, but I already have it as an ambassador title. Highly recommended.

No one ever seems to like Minish Cap but it's one of my personal favorites in the series.

It has more to do with the fact it came out when people were all hot on 3D Zelda games, yet before people realized the retro overhead style actually has a place.  Back then if you didn't have wizbang graphics, you didn't do yourself any favors.  These days people can play and enjoy games that would have looked about average on an NES and still have a great time.

Minish Cap was great.  It added tons of cools stuff to the mythos, giving the Four Sword some depth and meaning; the Picori were adorable and made great side characters; Vaati went from a lame insert monster here villain to one of the best villains in the series, and seriously he's not in Hyrule Warriors why; and it played like a suped up LttP, which is great.

Best of all if gave us an origin story for Link's hat, something we didn't even realize we all needed.

Is that the lowest price for LoZ: The minish cap?

I always assumed it was because it was different, aka Capcom developed, and people always seem to treat those as second class entries (though they're among my favorites in the series).

Thinking about Affordable Space Adventures and the co-op looks amazing but I have no one to play it with.  Can't find a solid answer if you can play it solo or not though.

One of my favorites as well, was a solid Zelda game.

If I had a Wii U I would be all over that Earthbound deal. Still wish I had never sold my SNES cart a few years ago even though I got $75 for it.

Dang!  I was so busy with work this week, I missed the DKC sale.  I actually want to get the entire trilogy for the Wii U.

Do the DKC games go on sale that often?

Nope.  Nothing goes on sale that often unless it's shovelware that's always on sale.

I didn't even notice that it was in the sale until you pointed it out.

You can play it solo. Co-op just splits the responsibilities between two or three people; i.e. one person pilots, one person controls the ship's functions (weight, pitch, thrust, etc.), and one controls the light/scanner.

Shutshimi will be out on Thursday. I've played it on PS4 and it's a good shooter. The catch is that each level lasts ten seconds and then get to pick an upgrade or perk before the next level starts, which is based on the fact that you control a goldfish with Cho Aniki-style arms.

Thanks, I'll probably pick it up then and wistfully sigh about how much better it would be if I wasn't alone in my space ship.

If you think you'll buy one eventually, you can purchase a download code through the web store while it's on sale.

I'm considering it, too, even though I have no idea if I'll ever get around to playing it...

The game definitely has not aged well.  If you liked the original dragon warrior/quest, it's quite similar in terms of gameplay... very slow paced, one on one turn based dungeon crawling rpg.  For it's time, I thought it was the bee's knees.

I just picked up a wii u for $100. Got it off of ebay as broken but all I had to do was replace a $5 wifi card in the gamepad. Any non Nintendo games I should look at? It's not that I don't like Nintendo games it just that it seems only games wii u has are nintendo made games.
