Jurassic World (JP4): 2015
Hold on to my butt's what?
You know, the wild hair.

The one that makes you want to see this movie.

This is still a billion times better idea then another Resident Evil or a reboot of Transformers with new characters a few years after it came out. If they do the bat shit insane script of dinosaurs all coming to the mainland and it's up to some mercs and genetically loyal dinosaurs to hunt them down then I'm all for it.

Yeah, shit. I hate to say it, but this isn't even close to the worse that Hollywood has been, and is capable of being.
Is Hollywood that bankrupt of ideas? fuck me. . .
I don't know.

Since they're still remaking 80's movies, I'm half-expecting them to announce a remake of The Terminator soon. That's when you can tell that they're creatively bankrupt.

There's a new Scary Movie coming out. Nuff said.

Plus we'd be kidding ourselves if we ever thought we saw the last of the Jurassic Park franchise. All three films have been successful and with all the talks of a sequel and it never dying after all these years? There's really no reason any of us should be surprised. If anything I'm just surprised it's taken this long to get it off the ground or just to get a date.

To be honest, after a decade of false starts, I'm surprised they're still going ahead with Jurassic Park 4 and haven't just decided to "reboot the series".

Reboot ghostbusters... Not with new characters. Just reboot it. Have the original guys make cameos as other cast members like a bell hop or a judge. Redo one and two then make more. The problem is I don't want ghostbusters three with 70 year old ray egon and Winston.

It's already in the works, if you hadn't heard. Although Bill Murray has said he doesn't want to do it.

Ghostbusters 3 should have been done years ago in time for the first one's 25th anniversary. Instead we got a so so video game. :(

At this point they should just drop it instead of dragging us along with "it's in the works" lines from Akroyd.

I don't want ghostbusters 3 I want a new ghostbusters. Use the same story line as 1 just remade with new folks. Then continue from there.

But what's the point? What kind of break thru can ILM do this time around? They have already done hundreds of running and flying dinos.

There was a story posted a few weeks back about some concept designs for I think either part 4 or 3 which they showed hybrid human/dinos that looked freaky.

Instead of Jurassic park. ( which was one of my favorite movies. I think they should have stopped at two for sure) they need to scratch that and make the Dino crysis game into a movie. Dinosaurs and time travel. I'd cast micheal j fox for a cameo also.

hey the resident evil movies are better then 90% of the crap they put out.... i love paying 14 bucks every what 9 months to see the same freaking plot with very little new crap.....

if 99.9999% of all the people in the world have the RE virus who the hell is growing food for these people.

want to know something scary i just looked up RE on amazon and thought there was like 8 parts... there has only been 5....man it seems there was more then 5 parts to that show...

also
The original 1993 Jurassic Park will see a 3D re-release on April 5 of this year, also hitting IMAX 3D theaters

love to see that movie at IMAX BUT cant stand 3D or the 20 buck per ticket price

I was dragged along to see the second and third in theatres, and I honestly don't remember one second of them.

I do remember that they sucked, though.

Jurassic Park being my favorite movie, I'm disappointed they're going to sully the franchise even more (after it has been thoroughly dragged through the mud).

I shall wait for a trailer. Only then will I find myself excited or uninterested. I watched the first two many times (yes even The Lost World... it's entertaining when you are still not a teen) but the third one did nothing for me and made me indifferent towards the franchise.

Whoa? A re release of the first in theaters? I will go see that for sure. I enjoyed being able to see Titanic last year on the big screen with a little bit of 3D.

I Stopped reading after that.
Does having an open mind go away with age? Most of you are giving me the impression that it does.
Tolerance for paying for pieces of shit goes away for me as I get older.

So you've already seen Jurassic Park 4? And you thought it was a piece of shit? Your thoughts on it also summarize everyone's opinion?

I'd love to be surprised, I don't plan on it. By paying for mediocre media, you will continue to get mediocre media. Perhaps if we took some sort of stand on the creative bankruptcy in the industry, things will change instead of stagnate. You may not be tired of seeing sequels and reboots, but I am and I am going to chose how I want to spend my money accordingly.

I don't think my thoughts summarize everyone's opinion, hence why I used not one, but two personal pronouns in my post.

If a movie seems interesting or good I'll support it. I'm just saying don't blindly hate on a movie for being a sequel/reboot/remake.

I thought CAGs would enjoy another Jurassic Park. I'm really looking forward to both the 3d version of the first film and the sequel.

Reviews are saying that the 3d is so so and that the Dinos still look CGish ....nothing new... If you are for the 3d hype, go for it........if not just watch it in 2d on BR.

I just watched star wars on blu ray for the first time since the BR release. The CGI in the first three does not hold up at all. I think the JP CGI looks better, you can just see the green screen in the newer SW trilogy. The FX ILM did on ST:TNG and The original trilogy looks FAR, FAR better. In fact in one of the TNG HD docs, several FX guys talks about how superior the ILM methods were in the 80s to any CGI being done today, saying the passing starfield FX blows his minds using the tech they had, he doesn't think he doesn't think any shop today could do as good.

It depends on how the crew handles the FX. It's a mixed bag with each studio. Just because ILM was top notch back in the day..doesn't mean they can hold that forever as some employees have moved on to other studios and improved upon what was done in the past. The last Indy movie screamed of CG all over the place...including the area 51 scenes. (don't get me started on the monkey scenes).

TNG HD has had it share of problems from some episodes retaining the visual mistakes that were not corrected or recreated by accident and so on. Season 2 of TNG HD got it bad since another FX house did the space shots. Season 4, for some reason had an enterprise with this weird halo/glow/motion blur that I think they were testing and should have never made it to the final release of the discs.

Anyways back to JW, I hope this movie does explain a lot of what has happened since the 3rd movie.......How the hell did Ingen (?) get away with it after the t-rex incident in part 2 to allow to build JW??? Guess if you pay off the costa rica government , you can do anything..

People think the dinos look fake. Especially the one from the water in the trailer. I read somewhere, the ape from planet of the apes looked fake in the first trailer, and he came out pretty good in the final movie. I hope this happened with JP4. I wasn't impressed with the trailer...

here we go again..... the Dinos look fake...the apes look fake...blah blah blah........it's CGI...OF COURSE IT'S FAKE...It's suppose to be fake....what you think the movie producers made real dinos and smart apes??? It's a trailer to a movie that MONTHS away from release. Of course the FX's aren't going to be completely done by now. All the other trailers to movies have been pretty good so far except for the new star wars trailer, which honestly screams of fake/fan made.
