Topics not properly updating last read post in Chrome?

I've been having this issue for a while now (1-2 months maybe) where some threads aren't properly showing the last read post, so when I go to my User CP and check subscriptions, threads I'm caught up on will still show as bold and send me a page or three back when I click the "Go to first new post" button.

Tested in Chrome and IE and I don't have the issue in IE, so appears to be a Chrome issue. Using version 24.0.1312.52 m.

Have you tried clearing the cache? That was John's suggestion awhile back when some people were having this problem.

I hadn't, tried now and the issue is still there.

Maybe try clearing your cookies.

I have this problem in Chrome from time to time. I've just learned to ignore it, but it can be obnoxious.

To be more specific, I don't look at anything under the User CP. But under my general subscriptions page the bolding will sometimes go away and come back, or just not go away in the first place.
