Dragon's Dogma Pre-owned $29.99 / $16.99 ($10 off @gamer coupon $29.99+ and 10% off pre-owned unlocked discount)

This deal should be theoretically replicable but there is a chance that the $29.99 price might not be possible in-store which would require an override which prevents coupon use or 10% off pre-owned discount.

tne prices should reflect in store like their other items do. bestbuy makes it a hastle to have the coupon stack with the 10% which shouldnt be the case

The only reason I wrote that was due to past reports from CAGs not seeing pre-owned sale prices reflected in-store. I haven't bought a pre-owned game in-store in awhile but the last time I did I remember it rung up fine.

Just remembered the wasted @gamer coupon for dragons dogma. Tsk! Oh well ill try abd look for a used game for it next time i go to bestbuy. There isnt any online code/voucher ill missed out on a used copy right?

Hmm, kinda cool I have a $5 RZC so for basically $12 this wouldn't bad...now just to see if it's in stock...and it's not. Oh well, may still check anyway not sure if their used stock checker works like the new or not (where if there's only a couple copies left it says OOS).

Would have probably jumped on this if I still got the coupons, but my subscription ran out last month. I don't think this is quite good enough of a deal for me to re-subscribe, but thanks OP.
do you need to be an xbox live gold member to take advantage of the pawn system?
Just did a search, doesn't look like you need to be gold.

I'm not speaking from experience, but wouldn't the 10% GCU discount kick in after the $10 off coupon is applied so it would be 10% off of $19.99, not $29.99? In that case, the price after discounts would be $17.99, $1 more expensive.

I really wanted to like this game, but just couldn't get into it. The combat was certainly as good as advertised, but everything else seemed lacking. Story is almost non existent and all the quests are either escort missions or of the kill x enemies/collect x items variety. After completing the initial handful of quests, the difficulty ramped up immensely to the point where I couldn't even progress to the location of my next quest due to seemingly endless spawning bandit mobs that would destroy my party. After several failed attempts I threw in the towel. Game just seemed full of poor design choices to me.

I've had it work both ways in the past. Since the used price is never the same in the store for sales and the 10 percent discount always requires a manager override (if you can get it at all) I bet it will always be YMMV and a pain.

Shit, I just moved and the latest issue of @Gamer shipped to my old address so I don't have the coupon. And the Best Buy near me has a used copy in stock. :( Sad day.

I was just at my closest store yesterday looking for games to use the $10 off used coupon with, didn't see Dragon's Dogma but it seems like the best option right now. Closest store that has it is about 70 miles round trip, not worth the drive.

If you didn't forget to change your address with USPS before you moved, it will probably get rerouted to your new residence.
Just went and picked it up, got the $10 off, but not the 10%.
I got it 19.99 Plus tax
The 10% should be automatic if you have GCU.

Bunch of crap! I want the PS3 version and I've been anxiously awaiting a price drop to the $20ish level. Luckily, I still think it's likely since they are making this a franchise now.

I have it, and it shows on the receipt, but the value is 0.00.

The description in the receipt says "RZGC unlocked PO 10 Discount 0.00"

Hmmm that is strange I've never had problems getting these coupons to stack with GCU in the past. Without that 10% discount I'll probably just wait for a price drop on this game.

I haven't done a change of address yet because I'm still currently renting the old place as well so I have a bunch of stuff there and normally just go pick up the mail every couple of weeks. If things are important, I just have them shipped to my new place. Forgot about my @Gamer. Hope they still have the used copy when I grab the mail next weekend.

$10 off coupon does not work at all.
Attempted to use it on Dragon's dogma first but it would not work. So then me and the employee thought that it did not work because Dogma was on sale or special priced so we tried it with Ass Creed 3 and it still didn't work. It was scanning however it was taking $0 dollars off.
Employee had to manually override $10 dollar off but I did not get my 10% off since the price had been manually marked down and the computer does not allow any further reductions.
Walked out with Dogma for 21 after taxes but should have been 2-3 dollars less. Oh wells still a decent price for a complete copy.
:\ I'm just desperately waiting for this game to be on sale brand new for $14.99 or lower.
You missed it for 10 during Christmas. Prepare to wait a very long time for it to go that low again.

did any of you let the transaction total out? that's the only time certain discounts apply

There must be something storewide going wrong with the GCU bonuses across the board. Last night I traded in PowerUp Heroes for $6+100%, but it totaled at $12 instead of $12.60 w/10% base bonus.

I mentioned it to the guy who simply said it should automatically work if applicable and asked if maybe my @gamer sub expired (which I started 3 months ago). I told him to not worry about it since it's only 60cents...

I traded on Friday and got my bonus just fine.

It totaled out for me but was still a no go for coupon

If it doesn't get rerouted to your new address, you can always go to your local Best Buy store and tell them you haven't received your magazine yet. My buddy didn't get his last month and wanted the discounted Mario Party game, so they let him use one of the coupons in the magazine (since they are all exactly the same). They just scanned it from the magazine and that was that.

Went and picked up a copy, like everyone else the coupon wouldn't work and I lost out on 3 dollars, and while my copy was sealed and looked brand spanking new the instruction booklet was missing...

So I guess I now have to deal with returning it. Yay me.

I picked the last one up at my local BB and since there was confusion with the GC Unlocked, they did a price override and gave it to me for 17.99.

Thanks htz for posting the deal!

Purchased my copy today and it was the same as everybody else. Rang up $29.99 and got my unlocked 10% off but then the coupon wouldn't apply. Required a manager override which brought it down to $19.99 but then took away the GCU discount. Luckily the cashier helping knew what she was doing and was able to apply the 10% discount (there is a percent off box at the top of the screen which can be manually inputed) without requiring another manager override. Had I known the 10% override didn't require a manager I wouldn't have let it go in the past when price matching "deal of the week" games as the 10% off never automatically applies.

saw this on joystiq

Dragon's Dogma's Dark Arisen expansion will arrive on April 23 and 26 in North America and Europe, respectively.

The $40 expansion will be available at retail in North America and Europe, and as a digitally distributed title on the PlayStation Network. Dark Arisen sounds more like a relaunch of Dragon's Dogma, as it includes the full game, with travel improvements and "a more intuitive menu system." The game provides the extra weapons and quests to those who already own Dragon's Dogma, allowing their old save data to be used with the new interface.

For the experienced quester, the game also includes further bonuses like "100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones and the Gransys Armour Pack consisting of six brand new costumes for free."

I think I'll wait for this version, even though i very badly want to play dragon's dogma...

Looks like no download of the expansion only at this time. So if you have the game already, you're SOL.

Looks like Ultimate Marvel 3 all over again

Glad I waited then, and will hold off until April. Thanks for the heads up!

It's upsetting, yeah. It's Capcom, so what do you expect.

However, it was my console GOTY last year. So I will buy the new disc, and give my old one to a friend. Spread that DD love. :D

39.99 for full game and this delicious expansion? Amazing deal.
