Whelp, I guess this is how I get into SMT.
Damn good one at that. This news was completely unexpected. It will be interesting to see what they decide to bring to the game. Will there be demons you can contract? Perma-death is obviously going to be in the game. Regardless, still an awesome crossover.

Plus Persona is not mainline, SMT, it started life as a Spin off title. (It's marketing jargon from Atlus US to unify the brand is all)
