It just came out...and imo a sale so soon might hint that it's not selling well :c

A year ago I would have agreed with you. Now it's almost seeming like the norm no matter what the game. Couldn't say why, though. I hope it's not because they're not selling well. It seem like a new developer closes their doors every other month now. It's sad.

That being said, I, sadly, aren't helping them. I buy used whenever I can and I've swapped close to 50 games with folks on Reddit. I killed THQ!

i'm pretty sure ni no kuni is selling extremely well; i know amazon was sold out of it for awhile, which at least implies it is selling beyond expectations.

want to bite on the sly, but only want the vita version.

Ni No Kuni was #11 according to NDP which is not shown in the chart.

As of January 2013, one million copies had been shipped.

^That quote is for Devil May Cry from Capcom, so based on that Ni No Kuni must have shipped below 1 million copies seeing how DMC is in #6 on the chart while Ni No Kuni is #11.

I think Ni No Kuni didn't sell as much since Namco probably underestimated the game and didn't print as much copies.

You're also forgetting that Ni No Kuni only had one week to make sales. If it's sitting at 11, I'd say it's a safe bet it pushed anywhere between 750,000-1,000,000 in a week. Not too bad for an unknown ip, every game in the top 10 were sequels.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but am I able to PM the giftcard deal over at BB? I just happened to reserve both MG and Crysis today so that'd be awesome if I could get $40 in RZ certs + another $40 in giftcards :bouncy:

Based on the way Amazon has been lately, probably not, but it does not hurt to ask.

I'll get $35 back in PMs later on today after all is said and done. Wasn't expecting Sly or Ni No Kuni to go on sale so it'll be nice to get back $10 each on those in addition to the $15 on DS3 from Kmart's deal.

Damn why is Ni No Kuni already having a sale? Didn't think it would drop this soon...

Yeah 5 days in the reporting period and it finished 11th so I'd say it's close to 2nd or 3rd best selling console JRPG this gen with the two FF 13 series titles.

No Wii U ZombiU bundle listed? And where's that thread about it?

I'm on the fence about picking it up today if it's still happening.

Almost every game that is released goes on sale within the first month. How is this any different than what we've been seeing for the majority of other titles?

I ordered Sly online using a gift certificate and part of a gift card. Anyone know if you can price adjust? I'm a silver member, if it helps.

Dead Space 3 on kmart.com:
through 2/18 10% off on sold by kmart games applies to sale price of 44.99 brings it to 40.49 plus .99 shipping

which after 30 minute phone call was able to price match to this price at bb.com

No, not at all, not even close

Please tell me what evidence you have that would make you think that.

Ni No Kuni has sold roughly 130, 000 copies which is great for a new ip jrpg with little advertisement in this era.

LOL no. Not even close.

If that were true, than each of the top 10 games last month would have sold over 750,000 copies. That's not even close to true.

IF you haven't opened it return it and go to BB and buy the :ps3: version since you get a free vita copy.

If you enjoyed past Sly Cooper games then jump on Sly 4 it is great and fantastic on Vita. The Crossbuy is a disc benefit so you can link the vita version to your account and dump the PS3 version. The only drawback is the digital game is close to 4GBs, which is a lot of memory card real estate.

Thats assuming he has a PS3. If not, then its not really in his best interest to trade his Vita copy for it. I also beleive he'd have to pay the shipping fees to have it returned to Amazon

I bought Sly at launch and don't regret it at all. It's a phenomenal Vita game and still looks quite good on the PS3. I do understand complaints that it may feel too "casual" to someone playing just the PS3 version. The game clearly took into the idea that it was mobile and most levels feel short and in some cases disjointed in order make the game very accessible in small bites. I don't see how anyone could expect a better value at 30 bucks for a new game though.

I like the Crysis 3/Metal Gear deal. I know Amazon and Best Buy have pre-order deals for $20 on each game, but I'd like to see reviews first.
