I have a launch 60 GB PS3 with a 500 GB hard drive installed, do these have any extra value since they are backwards compatible? Also where would I get my best return on it, selling it on the open market or trading it in to gamestop, with their $50 bonus they have going on.

Yes they still have a lot of value especially if it's in good condition. Gamestop will rape you so your best bet is Ebay for maximum return. Put the 60GB drive back in and don't mention you upgraded the drive. :bouncy:

I still have my launch PS3 and would never dream of getting rid of it.
 
They aren't selling for much on eBay from what I've seen. Probably because they all sound like a jet engine taking off and are probably close to yellow lighting.

no way I'm selling these anytime soon...

One has a 500 upgrade just like yours....
