Hey all. So I've been considering finally taking the plunge and getting myself a phone that doesn't flip open.

I know I want to go with Android and I know the Samsung Galaxy S4 comes out soon so I'm thinking I want to go with that.

So my basic question is what's the protocol for getting a phone the day of its release? Am i going to have to pre-order it to have a chance at picking one up? Or will I have to sit on some line overnight? Because I'd rather not have to deal with all that.

Or is it just going to be as simple as me walking into any carrier and picking it up whenever I want?

It's best to pre-order it through your carrier. Watch for the date they announce they are taking pre-orders. If you wait too long, you'll be put on a waiting list for further shipments and you'll have to brave the crowds at the store if you want one day one.
