LG Optimus L9: Installing Apps to the SD?

I realize there are far, far better sites to ask for help with this issue, but there are just SO many pages forums, etc., and I keep reading so many different things, I figured I would see if a friendly CAG could push me in the right direction.

I have the L9. Got it for free, so for the "price," it's a really good phone. Unfortunately, by default, you cannot install apps to the SD card, which is problematic, considering the measly 2GB internal memory.

It seems that I have to root the phone, but I could use a "dummy's" guide to, as well as what I need to do after I root the phone in order to allow me to install to the SD card.

Have you tried "AppMgr III (App 2 SD)"? Search that on the market and try the free version.

Tried it before. Doesn't work. The L9 has "virtual" external memory on the phone's internal memory.
