Im new to swap note. How do you use the stationaries that you receive. I also have luigi and fire emblem but cant seem to use them.

I'm pretty sure I have a grasp on how it works... When you receive a special swapnote and then finish reading it, the stationary automatically downloads itself on to your 3DS and should be available for use. It will tell you that it does this with a popup window.

The way I find mine is I would go to:
Write a Note > hit the 'settings' button (second button from the right) > Change Stationary > Then scroll all the way to the right (where my "special" stationary is stored).

You hit the little Eject button

and hit "change stationery" when you're making a note. You can also buy them using the coins you get from walking with 3DS

Actually, you know what... I believe you need to create and send a certain amount of swapnotes to have access to all the features of SwapNote. I JUST remembered it. I don't know the exact total, but for example, write and send 5 swapnotes and you'll receive a note from Nikki with some tutorial. Send enough and eventually you'll unlock the stationary!

okay i finally unlocked my stationaries. hehe! just had to google it first. apparently i had to make create a number of notes before it unlocks. hehe! i added you moo. i pm my nintendo code
 
I didn't realize you needed multiple created notes to unlock stationary. Bought all the default ones and downloaded all the Spotpass ones I have so far.

Updating you all; all 59 stationary have been sent! I hope you enjoy them! Sending these damned things is pretty backbreaking work so I hope you all share if anyone happens to come by and is in need for any particular one.

Oh, and also send me accolades especially for resisting the urge to draw dicks everywhere.
 
Thanks, Vile! Exceptional work, some funny SwapNotes mixed in and nary a dick to be seen.

Unfortunately it seems that I haven't quite hit the threshold whereby I can save the stationary. ANy idea how many notes sent that unlocks at? Also, do those notes need to be 'read' by the recipient to count?

Once I'm up and running, I'll gladly pitch in on spreading the love.

I was in the same position yesterday, I'd only sent 4 notes to a friend and couldn't save stationary, pictures, or the audio clips.

I found that if you start writing a note, then save it to send later, then edit the note, it counted as a new note each time.
I didn't actually send one note, but I started getting a bunch of notes from Nikki the Swapnote girl of new features unlocking.

Okay, if you were part of the orange batch in the OP, all 59 have been sent. If you happened not to receive any particular one, PM me or something.

Also, to address CAGkrazy and the missing 28th stationary from the first batch, it's because I screwed up the numbering... you should have 2 #22s lol. Count em though, you ought to have 59. I also erected this issue during the second run.
