This reminds me, I gotta send in my rebate forms for the batch of freebies that they had last week. Nothing for me this time around though.

The rebates are visa prepaid cards that can be used anywhere not just at new egg.

Make sure to photo copy your rebates! My mistake for not copying them, but got screwed on one of them back from the Brink/Mafia II freebies. As long as you photo copy (like you should with all rebates) it shouldn't be an issue. I need to send mine in as well from last weeks promo.
 
Pretty sweet deal. If I had a good PC I'd snag them all. Considering them to flip since it'd be even money with the prepaid cards...
 
My Mafia II rebate from Newegg vanished - no tracking info, nothing. So I'm wary to jump on another one of these.

Yeah same! All my other ones totally worked other than Mafia II. It's interesting to see that I'm not the only one.

Contact Newegg. You should have a tracking number from your initial online submission. Newegg is known for being good at fixing rebate problems, especially with their own rebates.
 
For what it's worth, most of my Newegg rebates have arrived within 6-8 weeks of purchase. So you're looking at an investment of time and money for nearly two months until you get a prepaid card.

yes you'll need to cut out the UPC barcode, but if you have a good scanner and paper with similar quality to the boxart (like some magazine cover), you can duplicate it.

It took almost three months for mine to arrive. You should have received an email from Newegg Registration ([email protected]) with a subject "Newegg Registration Successful!" which should contain a Tracking Number which you can use to check the status of your rebate at https://newegg.rebateaccess.com .

Make sure you scan/copy everything you email out for the rebate. Newegg will ask for it if they cannot track your rebate for whatever the reason is.

I hope you have photocopies of your rebate, otherwise you might not get your money back

Yep, but Rage needs Steam, X3 can be activated on Steam, and Witcher can be activated on GOG (and you get tons of bonus stuff) anyway, so it's not like a box is that important.
