CAGiversary!
I Just took a look at best buy's website and noticed all controllers are 20 Percent off for a limited time. This deal is in store only and you get ten dollars off the afterglow controllers with the May @Gamer Magazine coupon. So for example...

The 360 Controller is 15.59 After Coupon
The WII U Pro Controller is 21.99 after Coupon
The Wireless PS3 one is 17.99 after Coupon
The WII Nunchuk* and Wiimote Set is 15.59 After Coupon.

I lurk here all the time and rarely post, so hopefully someone here can benefit from this deal. Also I would only recommend these controllers if they are well taken care of.

I have a 360 one. Works well. The LEDs are annoying as hell though. It also works as a PC controller so I'd like to pick another up.

Where can I get this coupon? Only if I buy this magazine?

Went ahead and ordered one for in store pickup. Don't wanna pay $35 for a normal wired controller.

So $16 isn't too awfully bad

Do you know you can turn off the leds lights. There is a small button the back of the controller.
How reliable are these controllers?
They're universal controllers, so they should work with most any system. Good stuff. I like it.

Yeah. I meant to mention that.

I have a wireless PS3 afterglow that I got about a year ago. I'm a tall guy with large hands and find it uncomfortable. I like that it's got the same layout as the 360, but the discomfort isn't worth using it. My girlfriend has smaller hands and is okay with it, but she doesn't play many games and doesn't really know the difference.

What I find annoying is that it doesn't connect via the PS3's bluetooth. It uses a USB dongle and if that's plugged in it's controller 1, even if the controller itself is turned off. That means that when I turn on the system with my DS3 some games won't let me play until I disconnect the afterglow dongle and reconnect my controller as controller one. It's a minor inconvenience, but can get annoying when I go back and forth between a co-op game with my girlfriend and something that I'm playing myself.

So how do I get this coupon? @Gamer is apparently Best Buy's magazine but I can't find the coupon in the digital version. Do they have physical copies at the store?

Sorry for my dumb questions.
Also the PS3 version has the 360 style layout with staggered analog sticks, if you prefer that style (I do).
Fuck that noise.

My first one I ever got died 1 month. My second one still works *knock on wood*.

good price and you can use it to play PC games..but if you play FPS' beware this controller is pretty crappy to use.

I tried the afterglow wiimote on the wii U, It worked fine as long as no nunchuk was on it, with the official nunchuk it would disconnect after a few minutes. The nunchuk (tried 3 different ones) worked fine with any other wiimote. The replacement I tried did the same thing, so watch out if your getting it for a wii u.

I wish I could try one of those airflo controllers for $15. Afterglows im good on, but it would be sweet if they could have a sale like this on the airflows

Last year Toys R Us had them on sale for $20. This was around the time I first got my 360 and I hated the D-Pad on the first-party controller, so I got it. It worked fine... for about a month. One day I accidentally disconnected the cord while playing, and the controller hasn't worked at all since.

A few months ago I bought another one from BB for $30; it works great so far, and no effect from multiple disconnections (I suck). I love everything about the controller; nice sticks, buttons, D-Pad is awesome (but a bit too rough/solid), and the fans help out more than I thought they would.

I ordered one of the Afterglow Wii U Pro controllers for $21.99 after my GCU $10 off promo code no more than maybe four hours ago and (as of this writing) the price has just dropped down from $31.99 to $23.99! o_O.

Just got off the phone with customer service and the lady (who was very nice and very helpful btw :applause:) took down some notes and gave me a case # and told me to call back later on to get the difference of $8 + tax credited back to me!. and she assured me there would be no issues when i call in! :D.

After all said and done $13.99 + tax! :bouncy:. for anybody that ordered the Wii U one you better hurry up and let them know about your order in case the price jumps back up soon!.

got one last night -not a bad deal - they only had red or blue i picked up the blue one even tho i wanted green... oh well it's for my pc games anyways.

Same here, I always use my Airflo controller and love it. I ended up getting it because I had an Afterglow that I ended up returning since I kept getting random disconnects and I think one of the bumpers stopped working after a month. I should have listened to the reviews, but for just under $16 its not a bad deal to have one around for when friends come over.
