Justice League: Season One or Two (Blu-ray) - $15.99 at Amazon

Just to clear this up, season two is not the Unlimited series right? I bought the collection when it was $30 and it had both series in it. Blu would be nice though...

Because JLU wasn't released in Blu-ray and WB isn't keen on kids TV on Blu-ray yet.

Hopefully Beware the Batman goes on Blu-ray and is successful. That may pave the way for more DC cartoons.

these are tremendous prices, but for those on a budget (like me) netflix recently made justice league and justice league unlimited available for streaming
Ty and is there a WS ver? I hate FS but the prices are nice but fs... hehe
Season 1 is in the original full frame, while Season 2 is in non-anamorphic widescreen.

Doubtful. The original masters are fullscreen. Timm may have intentionally put dead space there for widescreen conversion, but Season 1 was still animated in fullscreen, just like Return of the Joker.

Season 2 is anamorphic widescreen. The DVD version was the one that was non anamorphic but the Blu-ray fixes it.

It's not as if there's nothing there, but any semi-important details were left out because they wanted to chop the bottom and top off for a faux-widescreen effect. Cartoons were not made (let alone aired) in widescreen back in 2001.

Yeah i understand just puts me off using FS on a WS hdtv... I would rent or watch free but owning it has to really rock. I have no clue maybe years from now i will adapt it FS stuff. I never knew there was no WS toons really in 2001 and above.

For that price I bought both seasons and traded in the DVD copies for the pennies they offered. Lol.

Original aspect ratio is king, in my book it is just as much a tragedy to hack off the sides and release a movie 4:3 back when TVs were square as it is to lop off the top and bottom of the frame to convert full frame to widescreen for HDTVs (like what they did for that release of Dragon Ball Z).

Agreed 100%.
TIm thinking of grabbing Deadwood and maybe Rome on blu-ray along with Band of Brothers/Pacific combo.
It may be off subject but I cannot say this enough, GET ROME. One of my favorite series of all time, shame there wasn't a third season.

I think im gonna splurge for Band of Brothers, Rome, and Deadwood since I have all this Amazon GC. IDK its like 170 bucks worth of blu-rays but its pretty good for what you get.

Already bought the second season on blu-ray.  I'm curious on how long this will left, since I like to save up to get the Unlimited DVD sets.

Thanks, OP. I grabbed both. These were so expensive I eventually forgot about them.

Glad to see people championing original aspect ratio.

Yea, I picked up these as well.  I'll have to pass on the season of Unlimited that I need.  I've spent probably a little too much lately.  I've picked up a lot of stuff from gohastings with their sales.

just watched these on netflix, and they're really not as good as when I was a kid. Come to think of the it, the only ones that are still great are Batman the animated series and Superman, to a lesser extent.
