Actually, I just went right for it, and it says "free download" so I did, and now its downloading.

Could it be it only works if done via the xbox console interface?

That's...actually pretty cool of them...Would be cooler for most if it were Fable II, but I already own it on GoD...so this is great for me LOL

 
Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed 2 will be free in July for Gold subscribers as well. They are giving away freebies every month leading up to the new system's release.

 
For some reason it's showing up as $39.99 for me and when I go to pay with Microsoft Points, it says I need 2800. What's going on?

I just put in a 48-hour Xbox Live Gold trial code. Can you not purchase Gold exclusive content with those?

EDIT: Apparently Gold trials don't count. Shoot. My Xbox Live Gold ran out 3 days ago. Any idea how long this game will be free?

End of the month maybe, anyway, on your xbox you can just create a new gamertag, it'll get a month free, download it with that

and play it on your other gamertag, done and done.

PS: has to be created on the console, can't create it from the website and get the month free.

 
There's a promotion for one month of gold for 1 dollar. To get Fable 3 and the other deals.

Just have to cancel after the first month, it renews automatically.
