I'm pretty sure many people already went ahead and made preorders already, but will start a thread anyhow.

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-ca/pre-order-games.aspx

I think all games under $59.99 are on sale, not just the ones listed here.

What I've preordered so far...

Time and Eternity (PS3)

Dragon's Crown (PS3)

Tales of Xillia (PS3), cancelling amazon.ca $49.99 preorder

Beyond Two Souls SE (PS3)

Bravely Default Flying Fairy (3DS)

Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS)

Pokemon X (3DS)

Pokemon Y (3DS)

MGS Legacy Collection (PS3)

Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (Wii U)

Final Fantasy X X2 HD Remaster (PS3)

GTA V (PS3)

Muramasa LE and Project Zone X are sold out :whistle2:(

I know this has been a nice deal for people in the past and I've always missed out on it! So thanks for the heads-up. This is what I managed to pre-order:

The Last of Us (PS3)

Dragon's Crown (PS3)

Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD (PS3)

Tales of Xillia (PS3)

Bravely Default Flying Fairy (3DS)

Mario & Luigi Dream Team (3DS)

Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS)

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem (WU)

I also have the Muramasa LE preordered from Amazon, but I would have gladly downgraded to the standard one for this price break.

Hmm... I also just noticed that Pikmin 3, Dark Souls 2, and Skyrim: Legendary Edition are also available as part of this deal... [EDIT: Scrap that, Skyrim is PC version only.]

Glad to see they're continuing to do the yearly E3 deal. Great for people who are certain of buying 3+ games day one and saving $20 off each of them. Hadn't jumped on it before. I put in an order this morning solely for three copies of GTAV (one for me, two for friends), but reading into the fine print left me disheartened. Someone at RFD noticed that GTAV isn't included. My order went thru correctly at what seems like a sales price, but I'm just waiting for them to correct / cancel it. Kinda bittersweet.

I got GTA:V, Last Of Us, COD:Ghost 39.99$ each with free shipping, good deal. Some games are not listed on the site page but if you add it to your shopping cart at checkout you will see the discount as been applied. You can otherwise get 1 59.99$ title for 10$ off.

Couple notes:

1) tales of xillia Collector's Edition isn't part of the deal

2) they're "sold out" of Project X Zone preorders (whatever that means)

3) they're "sold out" of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 "limited edition" (just an extra artbook but still)

Cool deal, there are only 3 console games I want and all 3 were in the deal so I'm saving the full $60.

Last of Us (They better ship it Thursday!!!)

Grand Theft Auto 5

Beyond Two Souls

When I was first checking out they had high shipping prices for every game, so I hit Edit next to the shipping and it only gave "Free" as an option for one of the games. When I chose free on the one game, all 3 games switched to free. Pretty stupid but it worked out in the end.

Grabbed 9 preorders so far.

Last of Us

Xillia ( not paying 60$ extra for bigger artbook/figure sealed the deal on cancelling CE)

SMT VS Fire Emblem

Bravely Default

Game and Wario

Mario+Luigi

Time and Eternity

SMT 4

Pokemon Y

Tempted to go another round. Especially if they rustle up more stock of Kingdom Hearts w artbook and Project X zone.

Technically will cost me next to nothing since I have a PRP giftcard coming from my regular 3ds and 75$ in rewards giftcards from Esso rewards.

Then went and preordered Project X zone Kingdom hearts and Smash Bros from futureshop .

Ebs about to get alot of cancellations.

And then with extra digging....

FFX/X2 remastered

The Guided Fate Paradox

and

Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness

But considering the screwjob that is Tales of XilliaCE the limited edition/normal edition is a better deal at 40$ unless you wanna pay 60$ for a artbook+figure.

Not sure about doing Lightning Returns since that one is pretty much guaranteed to get at least some pre order bonuses....

Yep, FFXIII & Dark Souls 2 should get nice LE bundles.

I didn't notice that Wind Waker was on the site yet though, so I may go back for another round of Pikmin 3, Wind Waker, and something else. Hmm.

It's easy to get lost in the E3 hype.  I'm really interested in many of these titles but I think we'll see the same lightning fast price drops that we have seen in the past.  So I'm going to wait, check out reviews as they come out, and buy the good ones a month or more after release.

Besides, it's nearly summer and I'll spend most of my off time fishing on my boat anyways :p

This is great, thanks for posting.

I assume each game will ship separately? As in, I won't be waiting for GTA to release to receive The Last of Us, etc?

Also, are you just charged for each game as is ships? I've got an order with 3 games for $120, so when the first ships will I be billed for it and then have a total of $80 on that order until the next ships and I'm billed another $40? I'm just curious because it would be great to be able to just add gift cards as I get them from trade ins and such throughout the summer.

Yes, they ship in bundles according to what comes out, so you might get 2-3 games around August 10th for example, Last of Us next week, and GTAV and FF later in the year, etc.

You're charged for each game/bundle as they ship.

all the ps4 and xbox one games were sold out at 8am this morning - is this some kind of joke this year?

update:

now they are all back in stock which makes sense but when you add 3 games to your cart the discount is not reflected at checkout, come on futureshop get your act together  :headache:

Their checkout system is also a bit screwy. I had to choose ground shipping for everything to get the free shipping, but two of the options for ground were priced at $3.99. If you're placing an order, make sure shipping is free in the checkout, and if it's not, keep messing with the options until it is.

Well said.

That's generally true, but first-party Nintendo games are notoriously slow to receive discounts.  These deals are especially good for those titles.

I just did a count and realized that I pre-ordered 12 Wii U games and 6 3DS games.

Couldn't find Zelda 3DS, sadly.

Also!  Was excited to find a listing for X:

www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/wii-u-x-nintendo-wii-u/10204320.aspx

This is the forthcoming Wii U RPG from Monolith Soft, makers of Xenoblade Chronicles.  It looks HYPE.

Perfect, thanks for the info.

I'm assuming that once one item in your order ships, you're pretty much locked in for the others as well, regardless of when they ship? I created an order of PS3 games that included TLOU and some stuff coming out later and it looks like my card has already been charged $45 (hopefully this means I will receive it Friday) and I can't find the "cancel order" option. I think because of that it may be smartest to just make orders in groups of 3, rather than slap 12 games on a single order, unless you know for sure that you won't wind up getting them elsewhere, though I guess returns are easy enough too.

Faytz that's more or less my list... high five
*High fives*

Now the question is... are we missing any other RPG games...

Someone just mentioned X, I know nothing about it but if it's an rpg I think I should order it ._.

The only game I pre-ordered with this deal, was Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. Does SMTIV come in the limited edition bundle? I have my pre-order on Amazon.ca due to the costume. I would pre-order Xillia or Dragon's Crown, but I want that artbook that comes with pre-order for DC, and I have my Collector's Edition of Xillia paid off at EBGames.

All the first print copies of SMT4 and Dragon's Crown come with all the preorder goodies. Regardless of what retailer you buy them from.

Are you sure about this? I heard that the artbook for Dragon's Crown is only available at select retailers.

The only way to be sure is to have a preorder at Ebgames and Futureshop. Return the Futureshop copy or cancel the order if it doesn't come with the art book. Or another morally gray option is to return the Ebgames copy without the art book and keep the discounted Futureshop copy. Either way better decide soon cause the preorder sale ends in a couple of days.

I wouldn't worry about SMT4. It seems pretty cut and dry that all first prints get the extras regardless of where they are purchased hence the $49.99 price tag.

Yeah, but the issue I have is that this promo claims Limited/Collector Editions don't qualify. Yet, SMTIV gets the discount either way. I guess I'll pre-order SMTIV with Mario & Luigi and something else instead. I'll just keep my DC pre-order at EB.

Last edited by a moderator:
I think they mean multi-sku games that have a regular and special/limited/collector's edition. SMT4 qualifies because it is considered a regular edition - there's only the one sku available.

Well, I pre-order SMTIV and Pokemon X/Y with the promo, also pre-ordered Mario & Luigi: Dream Team by itself. Spending $33.32 on SMTIV is great. Considering I was going to spend $64.46 on Amazon for same day shipping.

It may be worth nothing that they charge you 3 separate times (as each game ships). A couple years ago, I ordered NHL 12, Uncharted 3 and Skyrim at the $39.99 price point. After NHL shipped, I ended up cancelling the order as I found better deals on Uncharted and Skyrim later. In the end, I spent $39.99 for NHL 12 on launch. This could be a useful strategy for those looking to pick up The Last of Us* cheap!

Of course, if you want two other games for $39.99, then ignore this ;)

*EDIT: Looks like it's sold out. Bummer :/

Thanks for that! I just dropped a second order on X, Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, and I threw in Dark Souls 2 just in case they get the whole "first run automatically upgraded to LE" like the last one.

They've added even more stuff like Bayonetta 2, Smash Bros. U, DK Tropical Freeze and Zelda 3DS.  My list grows longer...

Killer Instinct is F2P, yet $59.99 on their site. Don't you guys always end up having problems with Futureshop every year with these E3 deals?

You can use it as a filler to get an order of 3 games. Most likely they will end up cancelling it and that should not affect the rest of the order.

I'm hoping FS adds the newly announced Etrian Odyssey Millenium Girl before this is over.

Gah stupid Nintendo game's never getting discounts.

Preordered

Smash Bros

Donkey Kong

Yoshi

Mario Kart

Mario World

Windwaker HD

Thats along with the 15 games I preordered before

I'm holding off on X though because I am not a big fan of online multiplayer games that do not have warcraft in the title.

So I have somehow preordered 21 games. So now I gotta wait for the trade in deals at futureshop and get giftcards equal to those before some of these games hit shelves or my credit card will be taking quite the hit.

I do already have 350 odd in futureshop credit handy so thats about half of it.

Am tempted to go for the future order of Zelda Wii U, Kingdom Hearts 3 and FFXV PS4 though....

It is worth noting that Super Luigi U has been added to the list as well.

Even though it's DLC (And the fact I don't even have a Wii U... Yet) Having a disc is almost always better in my opinion

Anyone know if you're able to update your address part way through the order? I may be moving to a new place in the fall.

You can change the payment method after ordering? Hm, I might do this too then.

About canceling games that are part of a large order, I have done it before with Futureshop by calling them on the phone to cancel. The game I canceled was the last remaining game to ship of a bulk order, so I don't know if that makes a difference. This was one of those deals from an old E3 where you saved $20 on each game if you order 3 or more, just like this one.

My final list:

X

Wonderful 101

Bayonetta 2

Mario & Luigi: DT

Zelda U

Zelda 3DS

Zelda WW HD

Wii U lineup is actually looking not too shabby and I'm not even including quite a few games in my order. Would have added The Division, but I probably won't get a PS4 right away. Anyone else think that WW HD won't actually cost $59.99? Seems high for an HD remake.

Oh, sorry about that. This is news to me. I guess it's a good thing I haven't gotten around to canceling any preorders yet...

Yeah I skipped it just becasue of that, $40 seems to be the norm for remake rereleases. Although, when it comes to any needed cancellations I suppose it'd be simple to just return an item in-store after the fact. Anybody do that on previous years? Did it cause any headaches?

I made 3 more pre-orders. Project x Zone/Bravery Default and Zelda 3DS. Maybe now I should cancel my pre-order at EBGames for Project x Zone.
