I'm excited to see if NBA 2K actually lives up to the way it looks but a little worried about that since it said in the PS blog piece on it that it's only like 600 audio clips which isn't all that many.  Little worried that it's going to quickly become as bland and repetitive as the audio stuff that they recycled across the last few years.

Excited for it as well. But like you, it gets repetitive big time. I'm hoping it gets more and more, similar to how GTA IV and GTA V were with it's audio clips. But then again, only so much can be said in a video game.

When I went to the midnight launch for the Wii the Wal-Mart I was at actually had police escorting people out to their cars to keep that from happening.

My best advice would be to bring a friend along if possible. Unless your car is literally like a few feet away and in plain sight. I would imagine there would be a few of people trying to steal one. Of course it will be very small chances of it happening but best to be safe with a $400 hot item.

Over on Shuhei Yoshida's Twitter, @yosp, he reassures that you CAN resell used games. And can still rent games from Gamefly, etc.

it would not be surprise me to hear stories of theft/robbery of $400 ps4 consoles. i remember a few years ago, seeing news that  people were getting mugged/robbed at gunpoint for those NIke foamposite galaxy penny sneakers that cost around $150 or $200 retail price.

Went to GS to pay off my PS4, asked about a vertical stand but apparently they won't be out til DEC. Was hoping they'd be out on launch, hopefully he PS4 can stand vertically on it's own ok for now.

The PS4 Ultimate FAQ mentions that "In North America, vertical stands for PS4 will be released by partners as officially licensed program products during PS4's launch window." It later mentions a $14 MSRP vertical stand available at launch, which I have yet to see. It probably doesn't matter since it's just a piece of plastic, but I know some people care about whether things are "official" or not.

I don't mind if it's official or not as long as it works, I did see a cool looking one with built in usb hub and an led light that matches the ps4. Only thing is that it looks like it's not being sold in the U.S.
