Unfortunately the Sentai sale overall isn't as good as previous sales. I have purchased so much from previous sales that I don't have much here that interests me. I'm sad Negima! is out of stock. Some how I forgot to get that in a previous sale but got Negima!?. The only other things that interests me is Pet Girl and My Teen Romantic Comedy Season 1 & 2. Both seem to be decent prices but I feel like they could come down in the future quite a bit.

Thanks! I was considering a couple of those as well, but I grabbed some of the premium editions I had been waiting to go back on sale first so I wouldn't miss out.  I double dipped on Chihayafuru S1+S2 premiums, already had the standard, but I really enjoyed the series.  I forget what price they were at the lowest, but at the current price I didn't mind much.

 

Log Horizon, unfortunately, like quite a few series I've watched never got endings (D.Grayman for one).  It's sad after building all the lore and characters so well, but I guess it's better than rushing to a conclusion that fans would hate. Not anime, but looking at you GoT.

Well, Log Horizon is getting a new season soon, so there's that? D. Grayman got a half-hearted addition as well.

Patlabor Ultimate Collection is in stock at $42. Seems like a good deal. Last time it went out of stock it was out for a long while.

I loved Penguindrum myself but could not get into Yurikuma Arashi. It’s a similar kind of strange but it was just a little too out there for me. I’ll probably eventually revisit it, but I only made it through 1 or 2 episodes and it was just a bit too twisted for me at the time.

I don't think this Sentai sale is any worse than past years.  There are some great prices to be had for those who are interested.  I agree some items saw slight increases in price, but overall, with F/S at $50, this is not a bad sale.

 

I was hoping for lower prices on more recent releases.  May be the later sale will do that.

 

I also like that Sentai's shipping charges are more reasonable.  If you can't/don't get to $50, you can still pick up a few things with less regret over paying S/H charges.

Yea, it's matching Target's sale. I ended up buying Sailor Moon Super S pt 2, Stars Pt 2, and Batman Beyond from Target, because one of them wasn't part of the promo on Amazon.

 

Edit: Also noticed some items having 20% sale, like Classroom of the Elite, A Sister is All You Need, Gamers, and other Funimation Essentials.

I bought a copy of the Record of Lodoss War Essentials collection and the packaging says it should include a digital copy to redeem on funimation. But it's like 6 discs inside a small bluray case so there's no space for it. I didn't see any insert slips like they usually do.

So I contacted funi support, saying don't know if I'm missing anything but there's no code slip to redeem the digital copy.

2 weeks later they reply with a copy pasted "make sure you're entering the code correctly, and clear your browser cookies, etc."

Like he didn't even read it, and just to be clear I'm not mad, I know how it be in customer support. Just not sure why it took 2 weeks for them to copy/paste a generic response and that if it was at least a bot, it should have picked up on the subject line and given the canned response much faster.
