Michael Rosenbaum interested in Luthor role for MOS sequel

It seems Rosenbaum, who portrayed Luthor on Smallville for years before leaving the role, would like to star as Lex Luthor again in the Man of Steel sequel. Have to say, I'm pretty stoked on that as he was really the only interesting thing on the show in my opinion and the best actor to ever portray Lex on screen no question. It'd be a dream come true to see him get the role as people were talking about that before MOS even started filming when there were mere whispers of the movie being made. His role was widely acclaimed on the show by many and it seems he would be welcomed by legions to do the role again in this Superman reboot. Love to see it happen but I have a feeling they'll not do it just because they want a fresh face with ther new series.

I would be okay with that. I thought he pulled it off pretty well considering how bad the Smallville scripts were.

He probably won't get the role, since he's not edgy enough.

I hear the next Superman film is a reboot focused solely  on Superman's origin story, ending at his arrival on earth.

So I don't think Lex Luthor will be required.

It's what the people want!

I'd love to see him as Lex again.  Him and Tom Welling were a great team in Smallville.

...Do you seriously believe that? That they will reboot Superman AGAIN after MOS absolutely slaughtered everything else in the box office?

EDIT: Not to mention Superman arrives on Earth as a baby, so that kind of film will only last 30 minutes.

Don't know why he sucked as luthor.He left the show because he was sick of playing luthor now because its the big screen he wants to play him again,whatever.

The best Lex Luthor for me will always be Clancy Brown, even if Gene Hackman is close and actually retired.

Given their seemingly strong desire to set this superman apart from other superman stories, I doubt they'd go for that.

No I was making a joke about the new film doing the origin story again, despite 99% of the world's population knowing where Superman comes from !!
