So how does this work exactly? I've never done a rebate before. And I'm about to get a PS2 so I definitely want Kingdom Hearts, but would it be new or used?

They are new. I just received my Kingdom Hearts today. There is a rebate form you have to mail in and then you get a prepaid card back. I think you can use that card to buy whatever you want until it's out of credit. :)

That sounds awesome, I thought they would credit your bank account, then I would buy lots of these games from then and get rich!

This has been posted about 15 times already. Also the title is misleading.
Really? Because I looked before I posted. I don't see anyone with all the deals from newegg's sale.

Got Lego Batman 2 (360) and MoH: Warfighter (PS3) yesterday and Aragorn's Quest, Never Dead, New Vegas today. Still also waiting on 3 rebates for pc parts from april though, wish it was through 4myrebate instead as they are typically a lot faster.

I finally got one of mine from March last week. Seems like people either get them very quickly or it takes the maximum amount of time. Either way I picked up a bunch of these.

I've done six Newegg rebates before, and all of them have taken between 6-8 weeks to receive. So if you really want to invest your time and money in a potential cheap game just to get a prepaid card in the mail, by all means go for it.

Wow another great post! You should call yourself the Newegg guy XD. I got uDraw tablet on 360... FOR FREE!

I refuse to buy any of these games because i do not support rebate cards.  I miss the old days when you got a friggin discount up front. This 10-15 dollar rebate stuff is trashy and disgusting and I always consider it to be highly suspect.

Should prolly put in the topic title "Big REBATE savings" or something.  Most of us won't even look at a product who's only deal is a rebate.  I've tried rebates on Newegg before and even if you answer every question on every form correctly and wait the 6-8weeks they hit some kind of snag like as a default, then require phone tag and email back and forth until you're finally able to fight them long enough to see you aren't going to drop this.  It's too much hassle for $10-15 and they make it that way by design.

I've done several rebates through Newegg for things like anti-virus software and never had a problem.  While I understand the hesitation by many here, Newegg is pretty fair in how they process the rebates as long as you are thorough and follow instructions up front.  Some of these games are outstanding "deals" for just a small amount of effort and patience.

Last time I did a rebate through Newegg was for 30 on a graphics card. Since I did not have a tracking number by claim got denied.

Tempted on picking up Crosswords (I don't know what it is about that game) for $4. But the posts on here are making me weary.

Most of the games are sold out.  Doesn't look like I will get anything.

Of note, I have always had good luck with the NewEgg rebates (I have got about 6-7 rebates from PC games)

It usually takes 3-4 weeks to receive the pre-paid visa card and I just use it when paying for groceries or at Target.

:\ Cutting out the UPC and then dealing with the wait for the rebate.. and inevitable call to customer service.

Still a better deal than signing up for Target Redcard. That's just asking to be brutally &^*##'d.

so of you need the upc for the rebates and most of these expire on June 30th.....wouldnt most if not all of you not be eligible for the rebates by the time you get the game(s) in the mail?

You have to order by a certain date then there's a different date for the submission of the rebate form.

Not to go off topic, but what's wrong with the Target Red Card? I love that I get 5% back on my purchases and I particularly like that it's done on the spot, and not until you get your bill (which is what Macy's does).

Also, I heard you can sign up for a Target Red Debit Card instead, if Credit is a big issue.

It's worth it. Saving an additional 5% while being responsible is a steal. You also get extra days for returns.

I tried this rebate thing once with Newegg for the Brink PC game. It came out free with the rebate. Hard to say no to that. I received the rebate but they weren't kidding that it would take about 6 weeks or so. It took so long that I most likely won't do it again. So much effort into it I realized why am I doing this just to save $10. In the end I don't think it was really all that worth it. I hope Newegg drops this and does more upfront discounts. That was always a better deal. I've noticed now that with some new preorders they offer a card instead of a discount upfront which they use to do often. I've bought some great deals this way on games I knew I wanted at release.

I was going to print the rebate form for MOH!

It was supposed to last to the 30th. God ******

Emailing customer service.
Here is the link for it http://images10.newegg.com/uploadfilesfornewegg/rebate/SH/Newegg/ElectronicArts79-200-868_49570Jun25Jun30113yh62.pdf

Typically you can just go into your order history under your account and it will have a print rebate link to the right of the item you bought for a while after your purchase (I think up to 1 month after the rebate expiration date).

I do not see how so many people are complaining about rebates and how they are so hard or time consuming. This is not the old days, they are easy to fill out with clear instructions and then it is just waiting, I have not had to inquire about a rebate at all for the past 4 years (did not really buy stuff with rebates before then). I have spent more time trying to get promotions that best buy was running honored, the proper price (charging me an extra $5 for preorder DLC), or price matching at stores then I have dealing with rebates.
