Uh, wow!

I have a couple of these Zelda hardcover guides and they are nice. No one really  needs these type of strategy guides anymore because we can all look up this stuff on the internet for free, but they make nice collector's items. Some of the guides are out of print and go for ridiculous prices.

You know that prices on Amazon.co.uk are in GBP. The 75 GBP asking price is roughly $120 CAD - and that's before shipping gets added. So, yeah...

EDIT: Ah, didn't know the price was so much lower initially. Sounds like a pricing error on their end, but a good deal if you managed to grab it while the price was 55 GBP.

Translated into Canadian dollars the total cost is just under $100, but I would suggest you factor in customs charges as well. I don't have enough experience to know how much it will be, but I'd guess the amount you'd be saving might be smaller than expected.

Well, you might cancel it just as fast. E-mails to Prima have revealed that this box set will not contain any of the extras that the standalone guides came with/will come with. That means:

Phantom Hourglass: no bookmark, booklet or poster

Spirit Tracks: no parchment map

Twilight Princess/Skyward Sword/Wind Waker: no cloth map

While that may be true, you do have to also consider:

So there are exclusive additions for this set that you'd miss if you got the original printings. Best to simply get everything and not care about your wallet :)

Maybe check again in a day or two? They're usually good about this stuff. I ordered mine when this was first posted and my total has been changed to reflect the random price drop. I've even once received a slight refund from an item I had pre-ordered because it dropped in price by a few bucks 2 days after release, which I wouldn't have even noticed if it weren't for an email from Amazon saying I was being refunded $6 or whatever it was.

 
Back up to $129.15 now. Mine updated to $102 in my orders, so glad I ordered when I did.

I also ordered the day this was posted, and mine updated just fine. Just to check, you are looking in your orders and not on the product page? (Seams obvious, but you never know right?)

I'd say give it a day or 2, then contact them about it if it hasn't updated.

mine dropped but only to 108.14 D: not to be cheap (but then again i am on this website :D) but i'd like to get that extra 6 dollars off!

They also updated with images of the bookmark, and close-ups of each of the books, confirming that the purple one is Ocarina of Time 3D, and The Wind Waker will be one of the navy blue ones.  At this new low price, the guides work out to be less than $16 each, not counting the value of the box and bookmark, which is an outrageous deal.

Mine has dropped to $95.00, and the item has gone back up to $129.15.  It can sometimes take a couple days for the price drop to take effect, but it always does.  A couple years ago, I had major problems with prices not adjusting correctly, so I started keeping a log of everything I order off Amazon, and recorded when my price did not drop correctly.  That hasn't happened in a very long time, but I still update my log every Sunday; if nothing else, it helps me budget.

UPDATE: Amazon.ca has put up listings for guides for this fall's Nintendo games, including Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Super Mario 3D World.  Alongside these are listings for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, both of which will be getting Collector's Editions.  It's a shame that the Link Between Worlds guide couldn't be included in this set, when The Wind Waker is.

At Chapters if you use GETONEFOR25OFF  coupon (good till the end of today) you can get the set for $101.62 after taxes.
