WTF First the price match policy gets nerfed and now this....no longer worth pre ordering here anymore :whistle2:( Guess I'll just go back to what I did for years:wait for prices to come down in time(considering backlog, prob not a bad thing)

yeah, i wont renew GCU now.
If your GCU you still get the $20

Q2: I am currently a Reward Zone® program Gamers Club Unlocked member, do I still qualify for $20 Reward Zone certificates for my purchases on the "Get $20" promotion?
A2: If you are already a Gamers Club Unlocked member and pre-order any of the qualifying "Get $20" games prior to their release date and purchase them within 7 days of when they become available, you are still eligible for $20 in certificates. Qualifying titles for the "Get $20" promotion include: Grand Theft Auto V, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and South Park: The Stick of Truth.

Yeah its only for GTA V, Splinter Cell and South Park. Im more interested in ACIV, Watch Dogs and Batman and those don't get $20. Sub is up in September and that was just the nail in the coffin for me.

Sucks that the "Victory Can Be Pre-Ordered" $20 promo is on the way out. I'll most likely let my GCU sub expire after I pick up GTA V. :whistle2:( This is still a good deal though if you were planing on picking up one of these games day one. I was going to pick up BF4 for the PS4 day one so getting a $10 RWZ cert will be nice. Better then nothing I suppose.

Dont get me wrong. This is still nice. Just means I won't have to be a GCU member to get the pre-order deal.
nothing wrong with what you said, but this is a sign the gamers unlocked club coupon will be next

you still have the 15 days pricematch, if the game drops in price by bestbuy. i am disappointed saints row IV is not on the list.

Hey htz, It seems like COD Ghosts is part of the offer as well, it says so when you add the game to your cart. I wonder if thats a mistake or something. Also, my GCU membership expires on 9/26, thank god I didn't re-sub 10 days earlier.

Guys it's something.
Better than Gamestop still.
And Amazon.

hard to say, i remember ac III took a long time to get a price drop/ sale drop.
AC3 was an Amazon Gold Box DOTD for 30 something bucks within 2 months of release as well as other sales.

you still have the 15 days pricematch, if the game drops in price by bestbuy.
That is an awful incentive to buy there considering what their policy was less than a year ago. They used to give you 30/60 days to price match not only their own sales, but other retailers. What are the chances a new release will be on sale within the 15 days at Best Buy?

Don't get me wrong, the $10 promo is still better than what most retailers are doing and I would take advantage of it if I had credit there, but I really miss the old price match policy and am gonna miss the $20 promo.

Figured I'd wait till they added newer games to their fall pre-order lineup, but guess I'm definitely not subbing again.. I do wonder though, if maybe they felt confident that their pre-orders wouldn't suffer since 'next' gen is coming up.

I guess it really is time to hit the backlog.. I might actually finish some of these games now.

Regardless, I think we should have a moment of silence for BB...... it was great while it lasted. *sniff*

It was great.. too good while it lasted.

Cags picking AAA games on release, having 60 days to pm.

i got tons of cheap/free games last 2 years.

very sad to see it die.

even w $20 it wouldnt be same without 60 day competitor pm

that was insane it lasted this long

i bet the trade in programs next... i wish not

Well thanks anyway for trying to rally the troops to include more titles to the victory can be pre ordered promo htz and enuf.

It seems BBY is not budging but I really appreciate the work you put into it otherwise.

Things were awesome last year and earlier this year. Between the PMing and $20 pre-ordering bonus, I was always coming out on top after selling the games when I was done.

Eh, not sure if it's a good deal.  For people who still don't have to pay taxes for Amazon yet, and depending on your state/local sales tax rates, you're only "saving" around $5-6 and you're forced to use that certificate for a future purchase at Best Buy....  I'll stick with my Amazon pre-orders.

So I'm assuming this won't stack with the RZ Special Shopping Event $30 promo, right? I saw this $10 promo coming when reading the fine print for the $30 promo. :p

I think it might be a mistake seeing how the FAQ doesn't list it either but I'm going to double check with a Best Buy connector.

Q1: Which games qualify for this offer?
A1: Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Grand Theft Auto V, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Watch Dogs, Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, NBA 2K14, Batman: Arkham Origins.

don't get me wrong, but arent they the ONLY retailer with any type of deal for PS4 and XB1 games?
Yes they are, but hey maybe amazon will match them. Thats all they seem to do nowadays anyway, that and their crappy gold box deals lol

Okay cool, thanks.

Other places will have deals, the consoles will launch around Black Friday and then you have all holiday season.

It's pure idiocy to lock in for ten dollars when 4 and change is going to be eaten in tax alone.

With the 20 you locked yourself in and maybe missed a deal here or there but you were getting 15 bucks from the deal to get a game on launch day and not shop the ads.

Well I only pay full price or even $40 a game about once a year (NBA 2k) and I haven't even done that the last couple years.  $50 out the door isn't enough for me with not much of a chance at a PM.  I can wait a month or 2 to play a game for much less.  I will end up with 1 or 2 just to have something for my new system but after that nice knowing you BBY pre-orders.

Thanks op for the work.

I believe so but you figure Amazon will match the $10 credit, since that's basically all they do nowadays. And Gamer4Life beat me with this.

I pay tax everywhere so I look at it like $65 - $10. I was also planning on buying BF4 day one regardless so getting $10 back from BB will be nice, and I honestly dont think there's going to be amazing deals for next gen games come Black Friday.

Likely will see B2G1 like we did for Wii U games.

That's true about tax for some people (thank God I'm not one of those people yet)

So if you think 5 dollars plus a small window of price matching is worth it then that's fine.

I would grab it at another retailer just for the full 30-90 day return periods for price matching

I rarely pre-order games, but I did at BB when I knew I was going to get back $20. Now that's its down to a measly $10 AND you still have to pay tax on in store pick ups equals no more deals at BB.
