Crackdown is an amazing underrated game, co-op is super fun. Can't wait for Dead Rising 2, finally can play co-op with my friends that already have it.

I am actually really happy about this because someone stole my copy of Dead Rising 2. I still have the case from the Zombrex edition and even the bonus disc, but I cannot find the game.

Perhaps if someone out there gets this game for free with this offer they can give me their disc if they no longer want it?  :bouncy:

man I was just looking at dead rising 2 on the marketplace this morning.  so glad I didn't pull the trigger.  I think it was 29.99, my son wants a zombie game.  I have physical copy of crackdown.  probably not worth much at this point anyways

 
AWESOME!  The original Crackdown is SOOOO old, but so much fun.  I will always remember mainly buying that title for the Halo beta, but actually getting a hell of a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Crackdown is a really fun game but I finished it eons ago. I might give the shorter case zero a shot but not interested in Dead Rising much either.

 
Free is good. Already have Crackdown on disc, but as others have mentioned, it's a really underrated game. Didn't get into DR 1, but I'm all over giving Zero and DR2 a shot since it literally costs me nothing.

To the people that are whining that the free games aren't titles that were released in the past week, GTFO. Nobody is making your download the games if you don't see value in them. Even for games I already have, it's nice to have the ability to play a digital copy whenever I want, rather than have to dig up the disc.

Loved the first Crackdown game and cant wait to play with my friends.

The MP is crazy fun and we can all finish orb hunting.

 
Oh man crackdown I hope it still comes with the halo 3 demo.  This is going to save me $1 in gas going to a game store and the $3 I would spend on buying it used.  Thanks Microsoft!

 
Anyone who hasn't played Crackdown... give it a shot. One of my favorite games I played this gen. 

Never played DR2 so I'm glad that's a game I at least haven't played. 

 
Got Deadrising 2 still new in the case, so may give me a chance to lessen on my load of physical games. Crackdown will be a nice bonus, will give me a chance to play it even though I bought a copy for a friend for a few bucks.

 
I don't own any of those games so this is a great month for me! I can't wait to play some Crackdown again. I finished that game twice, and had a blast with it! So many good memories from that game.
 
Even though Crackdown is a great game, this months games disappoint me. PSN gives away fairly new and good games. Glad I am switching over to PS next gen and don't pay for gold lmao

 
Wow, what next, Space Invaders and Pong perhaps? Why the ancient games that no-one cares for anymore.They are literally giving us all the oldest games that people aren't buying anymore... :dunce: 

 
Game my son my copy of crackdown and was looking to buy it again so we can co-op, so I'm actually pretty happy, plus he loves zombies (as do I) so we can slay them together in DR:2, not bad for free downloads...
 
Awesome!  Despite how bad DR2 was compared to DR1, and how DR: OTR is better than DR2, I still enjoyed DR2.  And Crackdown 1 was awesome, Crackdown 2 was horrible.  Wish I didn't sell Crackdown 1.  Well, at least I get it again for free, and I still have the "Keys to the City" content.

I'm quite happy with the Games for Gold program so far, I'm getting experience in a group of games I hadn't gotten to play before!  AC2 is fun so far, can't wait to get into the meat and potatoes of it.  I have heard good things about Crackdown and I enjoyed the first Dead Rising (on Wii granted...) so hopefully these will be very fun!  Not to mention it keeps me from spending $$ on games for a while while we have crappy sales!

 
Does it work the same way as PS+? If you let your gold subscription lapse, do the games go away?

On Capcom's blog they mentioned Dead Rising 2 is only available as long as you have Gold. Most likely a mistake but then again this is Capcom...

Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero will be the two Games with Gold titles for August on XBLA. What does this mean? Well, quite simply from August the 16th if you are have a Gold subscription for Xbox Live you can download both titles for FREE during August and keep them as long as you have a valid Gold membership. Please note that as the Dead Rising titles are not available in Germany, they will be replaced by Lost Planet 2

Anyone know what the JP games for Gold are for next month?  I know they got different ones not ACII and not Fable 3 so just curious if they are getting something different on this again.
