Faris Fink, the senior IRS official best known for his starring role as Mr. Spock in a “Star Trek” parody at an IRS conference, received $149,506 in bonuses between 2007 and 2012. By Fink’s own admission, the lavish 2010 conference, originally reported as costing $4.1 million, could have actually cost $5 to $6 million. That same year, Fink was awarded a $30,975 bonus."

 
 
Anybody care to justify this? Screw the Royal Family,  we have a ton of our own privileged living high on the hog off of tax payer money. Who oversees this? I've heard the excuse that you have to pay the best to get the best, is Lerner an example of this? :roll:
 
 
Those are smaller bonuses than the private companies gave out after receiving their bailouts.

That's why I asked you to go into detail about your statement more than once and repeatedly tried to steer us back into that subject, but all I'm getting from you is being called a pussy and a whore along with various other insults about democrats and Obama. You even brought Zimmerman into it to one-up your previous assholery. Weren't you the one that said that you're going to stop dishing out insults and outright lied about not insulting anyone the last time we went a few rounds? Yeah, that's real integrity right there.

Bonuses of those amounts, with their track record of inefficiency and rule breaking.......spending is out of control. Fresh cut flowers everyday, alcohol expense accounts, etc...gov't is not a good steward of our tax money any longer. Elite living like kings off of money collected to defend and strengthen our country. Get a private sector job if you want a bonus or commission. The public sector already has pensions and other benefits. The bonuses paid after the bailouts were also a travesty. How the heck are people gonna learn from their mistakes if they are continuously bailed out? Businesses that make poor products and decisions should go out of business. Who here is in favor of bailing out Detroit?

 
You know, if you think we're the same person, you could ask virtually any mod on here to verify it.

Or, even, probably just report us. I haven't combed through the rules of this forum, but almost every forum has rules against having multiple accounts - considering this site has a very active buy/sell/trade section, I can't imagine there's not a rule here expressly against that.

There are more than a couple of folks here who have spoken out in favor of the bailouts for the automotive industry. Because giving money to businesses that are so behind in their way of doing businesses in order to keep them afloat while not forcing them to adapt to a changing marketplace is a good investment of our money, or something.

Oh, and, because we like to complain and complain about large corprations being in bed with the government and how the little guys don't have a cold chance in hell, then we let these large automotive corporations get handouts from the government, further cementing their power while taking any possible chance that the "little guys" could have had to build their companies and nuking it from orbit.

Good advice. My brother was telling me about some study that showed that people who watch the news are less healthy and happy than those who do not. Physical health, not just mental, was effected. How sad is it that our current state of gov't affairs favors the ignorant versus those trying to be socially active or at least knowledgeable. Just accept the fact that our system is so corrupt and full of selfish, greedy fucks who make it an impenetrable fortress. At least we have the ability to argue about our country's shitty gov't....

I agree that republicans are awful but to say that democrats are better is exaggeration. When they have been in power they have continue failed policies of the republicans and Obama has proved himself as incompetent as Bush. You want better people in power then vote for the people you believe in instead of lesser of two evils.

I would pay donate $1 to any candidate that will actually run on a platform of "Abortions for some, miniature American flags for others."

I need to get that on a bumper sticker. Although, here in SoIl, my car would probably get keyed for having anything that sounds like it could be pro-choice on it.
