Was just curious... they had LEGO: Marvel Heroes for pre-order that included $10 promotional credit.. which was applied immediately after ordering! Figured I'd ask. :p

For anyone who doesn't know, this game is NOT made by the same team who made Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.  And this game will have multiplayer.  Just FYI.

 
Sweet, looks like I'll be going back to Amazon since Best Buy has dropped their preorder bonus from $20 to $10! Tax free and no Best Buy snafus ftw! ^_^

Might have to pick this up for Wii U and see how it plays. Not until the reviews come out though; I've been skeptical since another company is developing it and the Batman & Joker voice actors will be different people from Asylum and City.

 
Pre ordered for PC, since if you've purchased arkham asylum or city PCDD, you get a $5 credit for it. Also pre ordered Blackgate for Vita.

$85 -$20 credit for two games, not bad!

Really? I pre ordered LEGO Marvel Super Heroes on Wii U and wondered if the $10 promo credit applied at all, because it was only displayed if you click on the general game without selecting a platform. If you click the game on a certain platform, it said nothing about a $10 credit. After pre ordering I contacted Amazon and they confirmed the $10 credit would be sent after the game ships, just like Arkham Origins. I have Arkham Origins Wii U and Arkham Origins Blackgate Vita pre ordered as well, and they too will have the credit sent after the game ships. Maybe it was just a fluke?

 
I wish they would offer something like this with GTA V. I remember they used to do it with mainstream games like COD. Now they use it as a incentive to push games they suspect of having poor sales.

Isn't Bestbuy offering $20/$10 credits? You could try ordering from them instead.

If you preorder from best buy, be very careful they don't double charge the $5 you put down. I would actually recommend paying the entire amount upfront so this doesn't happen because it seems to be a recurring problem at my store. But their customer service is excellent and they've fixed it over the phone without any issues a few times for me. They actually went above and beyond by crediting me an additional $10 one time. So yeah i'd recommend BB, but pay it in full when you preorder to avoid hassles.

Personally i cancelled my preorder to get it for $40 and ordered the Collectors Edition. Some nice digital extras and I want this game to upset the CoD records and show game publishers that if you actually spend time making a really quality, over the top game you get rewarded for it. I'd like to see more games with 5 year development cycles and this level of hype. I especially like how they don't go giving every detail away to the press. There's going to be a lot of stuff you discover as you play that blows minds.

On the Batman topic, I think this game will go down to $40 pretty fast. Not by Rocksteady and generic multiplayer tacked on.

I was thinking of getting the PS3 and Vita versions so I'm more tempted now. I'm worried I might be burned and there will be a better BF deal within a month,

 
Does this apply if you order on multiple consoles? The Vita version being on the same page as the PS3/360/Wii U/PC versions is worrisome even though they're different games.

 
Don't the Arkham games like AC get heavily discounted like a month later during BF? I bet if you wait that month you'll save a lot more than this measily $10

My rule of thumb is never buy launch games (except CEs that may be HTF afterwards) after August. Around BF I would have shaved my backlog to single digits, and buy every game that BF has to offer :)

By the way, anyone here remember the pricing error for Arkham City CE a few weeks before launch?

Some of us snagged the CE for $60 at Amazon. I HOPE the same thing happens here lol
 
any word yet on the collector's edition for this game? I know some information was leaked earlier last monght
