I just ordered one of these the other day, got it yesterday. Has the Deep Silver logo on it which means it has been reprinted.

What's wrong with the Deep Silver reprints?

Nothing is wrong with it at all, but this is not OOP  as the OP states and it is not the "rare" first printings with the THQ information.

You know what really grinds my gears?

I rented this game yesterday from RedBox and instead of the game I got a photo copy of the disc.

I swear, every time I rent a game from RedBox I hold my breath that I actually get the game and not a photo copy.

Might just buy this instead. Is it worth it? Like Fallout or more like a FPS?

Thanks.

This is Metro 2033 which came out a couple of years ago. What you probably tried to get from Redbox is Metro Last Light which is the recent sequel.

Great game, definitely worth playing.  It is pure FPS, but not completely linear.  There are multiple paths to take, and sometimes you will feel completely lost in the bowels of the tunnels.   The ammo is also very limited which can make for some scary situations when you are starting to run out. You also can't just run and gun throughout the game or you'll get cut down fast.

People pay $40 for this on E-bay when  the digital download is basically given away for free via Humble sales and other sites?  I will never understand console gaming.

I stand corrected. Thanks.

@Mooby - I have a high end rig that scores 7.9 across the board (except HD, of course) and there are some games I just prefer on console. Skyrim being one of them. (Yes, I know, it's blasphemy!)

I know I can hook up my PC to the TV and use a 360 controller, but I have an office that I use and don't want to schlep the system back and fourth. Consoles and PCs both have their benefits and cons, IMO.

Humble is awesome, though. Got Saints Row for $5. Can't complain.

I got the digital version of this for $5 a while back on my 360.  This doesn't seem like much of a deal.

Might order this and return the copy from when it was $29 a couple days ago.
