GTA V special edition instock on AMAZON DEAD DEAD

Why does everybody want the Special edition than the Collector's edition that GS has?
Well for me, the additional things inside the CE isn't really worth it for me. Like the hat, bank bag, and key. Plus the CE box is huge. I chose the LE because of the smaller package and it had what I wanted, the steel book, map and DLCs which are the same in the CE. I got lucky and was able to PM WM ad at Target and got the LE for regular price of $59.99 so I'm happy.

whatever! Over 1,000 copies instock ;)

I bet its still sells out within 48 hours.

Not to mention its a collectors version of a GTA game. Its not really something people are buying to flip or speculate with like the niche JRPG's.

Its more so older fans with GTA nostalgia that don't mind spending the extra $20 bucks.

That way to check stock doesn't work on items that have a purchase limit on it. I guarantee this won't last the night.

Yeah that is what I'm seeing too.

That exact thing happened with the digital retail version of ducktales on the Capcom store.

People were going by the quantity checker when it was wrong the entire time. People thought 900 copies were in stock then wham it sold out. They started thinking the price would inflate and then they announced the disc version lol.

Are these suppose to be really limited or something? If not, I don't get what's so special about the special edition besides paying $20 extra for a steel book and map. GTAIV's special edition was available for quite a while when it came out.

Just a warning, Amazon shipped this Special Edition to me in a bubble mailer and it was severely bent and damaged due to it not having proper protection for shipment. Just a thought when ordering from an online retailer for this.

Buyer beware

This game is ridiculous! In the bathroom of the players apartment, they put the toilet paper roll on backwards!!! WHO WOULD DO THIS???? This is so saddistic and pure evil to put the Toilet paper roll on backwards!!!! Do not buy this game!
From a review. Not sure if this is true but it sounds gamebreaking.

Grabbed SE Xbox for $29.99.   They gave me a $50 credit for signing up for the credit card.  I guess I will return the one I ordered from BestBuy last night.

Wow great wish I had read this earlier. My orders already preparing for shipment. I don't know why anyone would do this and think it's ok.

How much and where was the one that included a New Era "Los Santos" cap?
That was the Gamestop exclusive CE and it was $150.

You get some free guns and the special powers regenerate 25% faster. That could help get 100% on missions.

Man, I don't know what to do with the SE I picked up from GS--keep it and trade in my vanilla BBY copy for $42 after bonuses, wait to see if it becomes rare then sell it for $100+, or just return it within 30 days to get my $79.99+tax in GS credit back...

The steelbook and in-game bonuses sound nice, but since I didn't pay very much at all for my BBY copy, I'm hesitant to basically get those bonuses for ~$40 net after trading in my other copy. :whistle2:k

Sorry for the semi-OT post--I didn't know where else to place it.

I'd just resell the SE if you can make a few bucks off it. Otherwise return it and just keep the standard.

I sold the DLC code from the SE for PS3 on eBay for $60.

Rest of the items for $20 on launch day? Not bad.

No kidding? I saw a listing for the Blueprint map+Special Edition BOX only for $60. You could potentially be paid $40 to get the steelbook and play GTA lol.

I got $45 for my code, and used a 20% off on the order so I was out around $18 total. I don't understand why people pay so much for DLC in these special edition of games but I've never questioned it.

Had an old MK reptile skin I got $60 for a few weeks after it came out then spent $5 and got the whole pack a month later lol

If someone pays me even $40 for the DLC I'd gladly accept.

I got platinum in GTA IV so If I go for platinum in V then the DLC will probably make it a bit easier.

I know I been refreshing the amazon page like every hour for the last week waiting for a chance to snag a copy.

I was going to get the vanilla version anyway so I'm not going to complain how an extra $20 bucks.

The $150 dollar collection is insane though. Specially when a new PS3 12GB only cost $199.99

man, this went out of stock faster the the last of us se. i guess with the hype train going on for this game. it is not surprising

Had the chance to buy but there was just no point. The DLC price dropped over $20 overnight on eBay. I bought a collector's edition yesterday, sold my DLC for $75, I'll pass the rest of the crap off, and in the end pay like $20 after feeBay's fees. Had I ordered one of these when I had the chance last time it re-stocked, I could have ended up with the game cheaper, but ah well, you can't really predict the stupidity of eBay users...

Does any one know if you ordered the SE or vanilla version on amazon AFTER release do you still get the atomic blimp DLC?
