OK, So a while back I'm sure you all know, Microsoftstore.com had a really good sale again not that long ago. I ended up ord-....well trying to order a few games. Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD collection for like $12.99 or some shit and Dragons Dogma for $10.99. Hell yeah, $25 shipped for both that's awesome! Ran into a few of the same overloaded server issues everyone else did, But I managed to get both items in my shopping cart AND check out with PayPal. Excited when 20 minutes later I got the Order confirmation order email and then I got the receipt from PayPal. I rested a happy man. I awoke the next day and was sent a email saying the order was then cancelled with no apparent reason. After a few customer service phone tags I was told the order was cancelled because the items were out of stock. The foreign customer service lady tried to push a different damn near full price game on me and offer free expedited shipping but hey I'm a budget gamer and I want my games on sale damn it! So I got off the phone was going to leave it at that.

Then the satisfaction survey emails started to pop up. Being still upset the order I was charged for was not received I was pretty upset, it was an awesome deal after all! So I filled out a pretty negative survey. I was contacted maybe a week or more later by a customer service rep asking me why I sent a negative satisfaction survey and what happened. I explained my situation about getting a receipt for what I ordered, confirmation the order was placed and available and being charged just to have to order cancelled beyond my knowledge. As I was sending the email I checked my PayPal and mind you this is a week or close to two since my order issue and the charge for $25 was STILL pending! So Microsoft has been holding my money the whole time while not fulfilling my order! I mention this to the guy and I am surprisingly quickly emailed back with a sympathetic response and a promise for investigation and mentioned some sort of compensation promo code. So I let it go for a few days contacted him again and he is still investigating.

Long story short he just got back with me now saying he is still awaiting a response from the accounting team about why my charge is pending but he did generate me a $10 promotional coupon! So $10 off a game or if it works like previous coupons a $10 item like maybe 800 MSP FREE! Thought this was worth sharing since there are probably many of you who found your self in a very similar situation dealing with microsoftstore.com Give their Customer service a email and set your story straight! and if you paid Paypal check your account.

TLDR; Free $10 Microsoft store credit form Customer service.

 
I had this happen to me during the one Xbox One fiasco where they basically screwed up every single one of my accounts associated with my MS Store account, and it took over a month, but in the end they finally fixed everything, and gave me $50 for my troubles.
