I seem to remember a lot of people either here or on NeoGAF winning Vitas during Taco Bell's last promotion like this.

I guess it's time to get on the ol' diarrhea express.

I think the amount of shitting you will do combined with the cost of toilet paper might outweigh the potential prize.

You can also mail in up to 33 times for codes. Postcards and postage will likely be less than the $5 boxes and will be easier on one's terlet.

Will get some 5 Buck boxes (though depends on what is in them at the time, i guess, I prefer other stuff from Taco Bell), but will probably go the post card route as well because if I'm spending $5 at Taco Bell I'd rather get some stuff I like more and not have to pay for an overpriced drink.

C. Without a Purchase (Online Code Request): Between 12:00 AM (midnight) ET on October 29, 2013 and 11:59:59 PM ET on November 10, 2013, an eligible consumer must click here

to obtain one (1) entry code (“Online Code”). No more than one (1) Online Code may be
obtained through this method.

From the official rules. I'll just wait for this.

By the way, the "click here" isn't actually clickable. Yet.

Looks like I'm picking up 33 postcards! :D/
Same here.

I try every one of these big promos and I cannot tell you how much I had my girlfriend trying for the last Wii U one.

I am not super hopeful for this though I would definitely poop my pants then if I won!

There's also this:

Except for the Online Code, each Code may only be used once. The Online Code is non-unique but
may only be used once per entrant per day between 12:00 AM ET on October 29, 2013 and
11:59:59 PM ET on November 10, 2013. Regardless of how many Codes are obtained by an
entrant, the method used to acquire the Codes, or the method of Game Play, there is a limit
of one (1) Game Play per entrant each day during the Game Period.
That part of the rules makes it sound like you could enter this contest once per day without even buying anything or mailing anything in. Just use the free code once per day, and you can only enter once per day anyways.

Hmm, well I could buy a PS4 when it goes on sale OR I could go into terminal liver failure.... decisions

It also appears to have a month less of entry time though.
It appears the online code is for the same dates as the contest.

I can mail away for 33 codes or purchase $5 boxes for codes....but I can only use one of these per day and it costs me money.

OR

I can obtain an online code that is valid for ALL days (once per day), spending no money.

I'm not sure why, other than for kindness or a legal purpose, they would set it up this way.

Well, when you put it that way...:whistle2:k

Maybe the "unique" codes are more of a instant win type thing where certain codes will automatically win you that prize? and the online reusable code is just a toss up between anyone that enters for that entry period of the day. I will probably try my a few box codes (Prefer Del Taco  ) and both post card and online method!

Thanks Op for the heads up!

You forgot to add in the cost of TP per $5 box you buy.. maybe two rolls?

I read it as you can only get one online code the entirety of the promo...

Well then I am liking that we can use that one code once per day. Though I think I may still shoot in the 33 postcards too. Might as well have as many tries as possible!

I already have my X1 preordered and told myself I couldn't get a PS4 until after January at the earliest. This would certainly expedite that process!!

You can only claim your online code starting Oct 29 whereas the Taco/mail-in codes start Sept 26.

Considering they'll be picking a winner about every 15 minutes throughout the contest you're going to want to get your entries in early.

Where the heck do you get postcards these days? :whistle2:k

So I take it we should mail postcards in today/tomorrow that way they have plenty of time to reach them.  Then we wait to get our 33 codes that we can only enter one at a time, one per day?

Heck, I'm game.  Won't take much effort and who knows? Maybe I'll snag a PS4!

@broly the postcards themselves don't count as entries; each one will get a code emailed to you, but regardless of entry type, you may only enter once per day.

Do they have to be postmarked after the contest starts or just arrive then?

people sending in post cards are stupid, the cost of the stamp costs more than the odds of winning.

buying a lottery ticket would be better use of your money.

I was one of the people who got screwed in the Vita promotion they had. We had a FB group, I uploaded a song I wrote about it, and some of the people went on television to talk about it. I emailed many publications and news stations, it was a huge hassle, but in the end most of us ended up getting the prize. So, of course I am leery of their contests, especially if this one is contracted out to the same people they used before, they were incredibly unprofessional.

I'm on a diet, so I'm not going to be hitting this up regular. But I do have a buddy who likes Taco Bell. I might pick up one of these boxes the next time we hang out together. I'm just not going to go out of my way to try and snag this particular golden ticket.
