Did you try the reset hdmi output?

Turn ps3 off, press hold power button until you hear a 2nd beep. Ps3 will beep once when pressed initially and a 2nd time shortly after. Then release your finger from the power and choose the appropriate setting

Yes I did and nothing QQ

Does the monitor happen to not support HDCP?  I know that the ps3 won't work on a monitor without it.  I'm sure there's a bypass just try google.

HDTV Not Automatically Detected after Resetting Video Output Setting

With certain televisions, the PS3 may not automatically detect the HDMI source (TV) which it is plugged into, even after resetting the Video Output Setting (as described above). If resetting the Video Output Setting did not work, you may need to follow these steps to manually locate the HDMI source:

  1. Connect both the AV Cable and the HDMI cable from the PS3 to the corresponding (AV and HDMI) ports on your TV.
  2. Proceed with resetting the Video Output Setting on the PS3 again (follow the instructions above, and then continue to step 3).
  3. Turn the TV channel to the corresponding "Input" or "Video" channel for the AV Cable connection.
  4. Manually change the Video Output Settings to HDMI (follow the instructions below, then continue to step 5).
  5. Now switch the "Input" or "Video" channel on the TV for the HDMI port the PS3 is cu rrently plugged into.
  6. Accept the display settings for HDMI before the timer runs out (30 seconds). Highlight "Yes" and press the
    icn_btnx_color.gif
    button.
  7. You can now disconnect AV Cable from the PS3 and the TV, as it is no longer needed.
EDIT: I guess this doesn't help since the monitor has no VGA :(

I see others mention using this monitor through searches, so I can't see it lackng HDCP compatibility (unless they aren't being truthful). Hmmm...

Did you set up audio & video to come through the HDMI cables before hooking up this monitor? Do you have a different console (360 or PC) to hook up to the monitor via HDMI to make sure it's working? Have you tried both HDMI inputs?

I have not tried the console on both hdmi ports only the second one and the monitor does work(using my pc on it) I will try the first port with the console to see if thats the problem in the morning.

Yeah, maybe it needs to be at least a 1.4a HDMI cable (unless that's what you're using). Do you have another that you can try? Did you hook the ps3 up to the other display through the same HDMI cable?

I would get on the ASUStek site & try to get support. I saw others have similar problems, but with different monitors. Most of them had to be RMA'd, unfortunately. I wish I could help you, man. I know how it sucks to have new electronics that don't work as intended, especially when they are working for others.
