Dragon's Crown - $12 off, Only $37.99 @ Newegg.com, PS3

R3DNate

CAGiversary!
This game is really good if you've missed it. Really good price. No tax for me (I know some states have tax to Newegg). Free Shipping for me too. Oh, Best Buy usually matches Newegg if you don't want it from Newegg.

Pardon my tax nerd intrusion, but keep in mind purchases like these online where you don't get charged tax doesn't mean you don't still owe tax. Most states (mine included) have a "use" tax on purchases made outside the state on items used within the state. These taxes almost always equate out to the normal sales tax. You are required by law to claim purchases like these on your annual tax forms.

These taxes are often difficult to track and pursue so most states don't bother going after people for them unless they are for single, high dollar purchases (ie cars or boats).

/end rant

My accounting degree has to get some use somehow so why not on a random Internet board where no one will care about it? :p

Nope. Like the average person here I don't actually play them anymore. Just collecting them and waiting to retire to play.

actually the average person here is trying to buy the game for lowest price possible, and turning around, then trading it in to gs/bb/amazon for the highest profit margin.

I'd like to think they are still in the minority but you may be right.

collecting a cool $2 profit in amazon/gamestop/bestbuy store credit after taxes and commuting cost considerations for 2hrs of work.

I'd just like to say that Dragon's Crown is freakin awesome. I can't speak for the Vita version, I have to assume it is just as good or better, but Dragon's Crown on PS3 is probably the best "pure game" that I've played it a long time. It really reminds me of the good ol' days of gaming like nothing else released recently. Sorry if this is off topic, but I highly recommend this game to everyone.

Dragon's Crown is so good I might just claim the purchase on my taxes since I bought it from NewEgg when it came out, which does not charge sales tax in my state.
