Are videogames shaping our future reality?

Really interesting stuff.  The Eve Online universe has inspired rockets scientists.  I suspect they (scientists) play a lot of sci-fi related MMOs anyway.  Enjoy! 

I think video games do shape our future reality. Everything is changing, we could probably thank video games for much of the stuff we see today, like tablets, and smartphones. I mean there has to be some inspiration from video games. 

I guess. Video games do have technology that would inspire us today to actually have inspiration to create this technology in real life.
