Killzone: Shadow Fall available at GameStop for MSRP

I don't wanna go all the way to Gamestop to pick it up, but I also don't want them to sell it because I didn't pick it up within 48 hours. Maybe I'll go tomorrow.

In for a preowned copy that someone just bought and decided to trade in for the fuck of it. :) 25% off on that bad boy.......... I wish

Not typically but it's certainly happened before and will happen again. This copy of Disgaea D2 has to stay out in the open so it shames me until I open it.
Do it! Peel back the shrink wrap that sucker, pop it in the wonderful slot-fed blu-ray drive of the PS3 (unless you have one of the newer models that has the top sliding door thingy), fire that sucker up! Then be slightly miffed for the first hour while u slog through the tutorial missions, and then be gleefully kid-on-Christmas excited when the real game opens up and you remember how much fun you had playing Disgaea 1 & 2 on PS2!

(seriously, open it and play it, it's a great game!)

Don't forget, in addition to the paying MSRP, you also get the extras tossed in for no additional cost, such as hounded to preorder other games, hounded to purchase the season pass, hounded to sign up for the power up rewards card (free or paid, heavily pushed towards paid), hounded to get the product protection plan, but that's all, trade the game in in the next 10 minutes, and receive a whopping $30 in store credit, then watch them place a sticker on it for $54.99!!!!!  :bouncy:

I guess I understand paying MSRP for a launch game for a new system, but it makes no sense to buy it this far ahead of time. I can't bring myself to pay MSRP for anything that isn't a CE because it will be half price or less in 3-6 weeks, and it's not like I don't have 1000 other games to play lol.

I've had it preordered and paid off since June, so I picked my copy up.  However, since I'm not able to play it right away, anyways, I figure that gives me time to pick it up cheaper and return this copy to Gamestop.

How is this a game deal?
It's not. There's two extremes to CAG I've noticed. On the one hand, there's threads detailing Mega Ultra Limited Collector's Editions that retail for $180 and on the other hand there's Gamefly sales which can have recently released games for $10 and under. I've read the position that some people state that $180 for a sealed Collector's edition is actually a deal since it'll be the cheapest that edition ever will be. That's great for them, but my small apartment is limited on room as it is now and I'd only be able to afford 2 games a year at that price.

This is neither. It's just a standard MSRP game that got released 3 weeks early that can't even be played yet. I wish moderators would set clearer standards on what constitutes a deal but the traffic and affiliate money that these kind of threads bring in probably outweigh the negatives in their eyes.

If you're buying it now and not waiting until the target sale or using a TRU coupon, you should have your CAG account revoked.
