The Legend of Zelda 3DS XL Gold and Black

Of course the chest comes to BB and not FS, where I have it pre-ordered.  BLAH.   Guess, I'm getting a third copy and I'll return it after getting my chest.

(Second copy is the Digital one with that lovely lovely 3DS that I'm simply buying for collection sake.)

Future Shop usually doesn't give preorder bonuses to people who preordered the item before the bonus is announced...
I should know I got fucked over by FS preorder policy more times I can count D=.
In other words wouldn't have mattered if it was at Future Shop. Though you could call customer service to add the bonus to an existing pre order if the bonus does come. But it's VERY VERY troublesome.

So, do I have to call their customer service to find out if they're going to add this bonus as well? I don't want to pre-order from Best Buy for $39.99, when I already have mine with them for $26.66.

Didn't the fine print for the E3 sale, and the most recent one for $10 off each if you pre-order two or more, say that anything offered after you've ordered won't be included? Probably best to call.

Some people are going bat shit crazy over at RFD for a dinky little happy meal chest. I ordered ALBW online months ago, at BB, but I don't think I'll lose any sleep if it doesn't come with my order.

My thoughts exactly. I'd rather save the extra $13.33, but I also totally understand collectors wanting this.

It isn't just some "happy meal" toy. It plays the chest opening music and holds 3DS games. A great collectible. Futureshop is always late when it comes to adding these things.

Fair enough. For arguments sake, though, a great collectible to me is something of actual quality and representation, rather than... well, just watch this vine of Aonuma and Iwata. Alright, so it's atleast Burger King quality, and not McDonald's.

I would prefer an artbook.

Just a heads up to anyone who may have preordered ALBW from BB before the bonus gift was announced: I received an email today that offered me the chest. I actually preordered the game during the Gamescom $10 discount sale a few months back.

So, is Futureshop going to give us the Chest too or not? I have my physical copy of the game pre-ordered with them, and my XL pre-ordered at EB.

I don't see the slightest chance, the chest has its own sku on BB. It wasn't simply listed as buy Zelda and maybe it'll show up, the way pre-order goodies are often handled by EB and such.

Well, that would be extremely disappointing. I went with Futureshop, because they had the better E3 deal out of the two. I'd rather pay $26.66 than get double points. That, and their points wouldn't go through for a month and 6 days afterwards.

Indeed they do! I thought they didn't have the bundle at all (their website doesn't list it). Rushing there after work today to pick it up and returning my FS order

Followup: went to get my FS online order PMed in store instead. CS refused when I called because the bundle is not listed on Wal mart's website.

I'm already engaged with BB customer service with the same WM flyer. :) Hopefully they accept it.
I called to try and price match via the internet. They said the item is limited quantities on their own site therefore they can't match it.

Actually I feel like that's a bunch of bull... I thought the limited quantities rule is for the competitor... not their own items....

Well just found it: Likewise, if Best Buy has a product that is advertised as being limited in quantity it will not be eligible for price matching.

Might as well slap that on every expensive item and deny price matches. Gonna try to grab from walmart and return the two I ordered from Bestbuy.

I just walked through my local BB, showed them the flyer I linked above with my phone and got it for $198 +tax without any hassle. I don't think I was the first one in there PMing Walmart.

I kinda want two, but didn't nag them for two as they usually don't like that when PMing. I had preorders in with EB and Amazon, and I promptly cancelled my Amazon order (which disturbingly hasn't shipped, even though EB has had mine sitting in back for a couple days). I can't bring myself to pickup my EB one now, as I have 4 other non-Walmart places to try hitting.

Well I have two just cause my brother girlfriend wants one too.. so going to walmart to just grab the system is probably worth it... don't have time to try bestbuy in store when there's a chance walmart still having them in stock etc.

I originally ordered mine online with FS, tried calling them to get them to PM but they couldn't find it on the website and refused to search the flyers via the website. Went to buy one at Walmart, now going to see if FS will PM in store then return to Walmart

Yeah I'd try Walmart first, except they're all way further away. So simply trying a pricematch is less hassle for me.
I guess I'm lucky my parents are out and we live like ten minutes from one. They got the last two from the walmart in east van for those who are looking.

You guys should have PMed at Toys'r'us. Ended up getting it for 179 before tax.

Pmed Walmart for 199 + 10% off (Toys'r'us Price match policy)

Uhh, isn't the PM policy 10% of the price difference? That's the policy you find everywhere. I PMed it at Bestbuy and got it for $198. So $200, less 10% of the difference, which is $2. If you got somebody to give you 10% off the total for no reason I'm pretty impressed.

Sweet.

Oh well, I did happen to walk though a TRU the day I pricematched my 3DSXL, and they didn't have any stock there then.
