I haven't seen this question asked yet so I'm curious. There's a handful of blu's and DVDs I'm looking to pick up from Wal-Mart but I work until midnight on Thanksgiving and on Wal-Mart's website for the movies it says the price is only good on November 28th. You think that those prices will be in effect after midnight when it's technically the 29th? That sounds odd to me, since I assume Wal-Mart will be open all night but it's what the website says.

I know pickings will be slim by then but I can pull what I did last year...go in a day or two early, grab what I want and hide them in the last row of pillows or some other obscure department. But that won't do me any good if the price is only good Thanksgiving day.

Looks like it depends on the store but this is what the ad said for movies.

$3.96 each

Only Valid Nov 28 - Dec 1

SPECIAL BUY

Over 89 titles at this price!

Prices, promotions, styles, and availability may vary by store and online.

Only Valid Nov 28 - Dec 1

State law prohibits big box stores from being open on Thanksgiving where I live,so most stores will open at midnight Black Friday. Since Walmart will also price match BF print ads, I'm think of heading there with a stack of sales flyers from Target, Gamestop, and Kmart at midnight to claim all the stuff I want.

My backlog is bigger than your collection.

Couple on there I see that I will pick up. Wish Best Buy was doing another Upgrade and Trade in program soon. :(

Man, that might be the cheapest this version of the Blu gets, unfortunately.  Tempting...

Probably will be, since the first print run gets a slipcover and after that, no slipcover.  That's something worth for early adopters, though I can't see it going cheaper for a while.

It's also $34.99 at Best Buy right now, so if you're interested, I would think about getting it at that price.

It is tempting but I just can't pull the trigger because the regular Blu Ray version will only be $10 on Black Friday.  That means I'd be paying $15 for just the 3D disk.

When's Amazon going to release their BF deals? The past years they always came out with a list and each day leading up to BF they had great deals on Blus. It wasn't this lightning deal stuff though.

Totally this.  I just can't do it for that price on Amazon.

I had a similar, first-world dilemma last year with the Brave Blu Ray- I would've preferred the 3D, ultimate, melt-your-face, loaded-with-discs, ultimate/collector's/special/limited edition, but the non-3D Blu Ray combo pack was like $8 or something at Walmart last BF (Walmart's BF prices starting early last year FTW!), so I picked up that version instead.

Does Walmart usually post their movie deals online for Black Friday as well or are they in store only? I gotta get my hands on that LOTR trilogy if that is indeed the price.

They used to show the prices in advance, too. Meh, I guess this works though nothing intrigues me at the moment. Maybe Summer Wars if it's $5.

I hate dealing with Walmart for Black Friday, but LOTR for $7 is very tempting. Hopefully I can manage to get it online or Amazon will match it.

I'm also very interested in the LOTR deal.  Just confused about which set it is, I see two sets on Walmart.

I'm assuming it's the second one because the first set would be too good to be true for $7.  It just looks like the first one pictured in their ad, but that doesn't mean a whole lot.

Does anybody know of a sale on Spring Breakers? The Blu-Ray is already $11.98 on Amazon, but I'm hoping to find it under $10. Thanks!

Anybody else going in for the Before Midnight and Cloud Atlas lightning deals today on Amazon? They haven't announced the prices yet but I plan to pick up the Blu-Rays if they're cheap enough, as they're two films I'd like to own.

Didn't like Cloud Atlas.

It seems pretty polarizing. It's one of my favorite movies of the past few years, but a good friend of mine hated it.

There's a Big Lots 3 minutes from my house, looks like I'll be making an early morning trip to get at least Toy Story...even if that's all I get it's totally worth it for $8, thanks for the heads up.

I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did the book, but I might be willing to give it another go... depending on the Lightning Deals price.

Yeah, just rent it from Redbox. Honestly, I hated that movie so much.

I'm still surprised no deal on IM3

Haha thanks for the tip, but I loved it. I saw it three times.

An IM3 deal would be good. I was also hoping for This is the End on Blu-Ray for about $10.
