So, I recently saw a commercial for Walmart.
According to the commercial, if you buy something at Walmart, say, Battlefield 4 or Assasian Creed Black Flag for full price, and it goes on sale at a competitors store they will match the price and give you the difference with a gift card from now until Dec. 24.
Now, most of us know the drill by now via video games. Black Flag, the new Battlefield, the new Batman game, among others, will ALL be on sale at Best Buy, Target, etc on Black Friday for $29.99 to $39.99.
That being said, you could buy the game today, wait until BF, and then revisist the store a few days after BF and get the price difference on a gift card. According to the fine print on the Walmart commercial, they will match the difference from now until Dec. 24.
Is it a gamble? Sort of. But a lot of these AAA games will be on sale come BF. I get one every year and with what Walmart is doing, you could just skip all the nonsense and get the game today.
- You have to pay upfront now.
- You have to pay tax.
- You get a the difference on a Walmart gift card, not back on your credit card or cash.
Anyway, I might pick up BF4 now. I'm pretty certain it will be on sale come BF.
