'My useless apps' and 'My why im gonna spend money on tv stuff if i can download it for free' punchcards have been extended until 31st of december. Xbox rewards team is laaaazy and painfully predictible.

Not every CAG is here to throw $5 on a game "cuz it's cheap" some of us are still here just to save on the games we research and know we want to buy, just not at full retail. So while you still may be right saying you "can't believe" people would hesitate doesn't seem valid when you just said it isn't for everyone.

Those people aren't in here really debating the merits of the purchase. They know what they want and use the site to find it for the price they want.

As to my statement of it may not be for everyone, I stated it was worth the chance because the game is good enough that for those it will click with, it will be a gaming experience they likely will cherish for years to come. It is a very well rated game, by reviewers and gamers alike, so there is some precedent to it being a great experience for some.

I bought Dark Souls when it was on sale for $10. Played it for a couple hours and didn't enjoy it, haven't bothered to play it since. If I didn't have a bunch of MS Points I got for cheap during when MS Store had the crazy sale in May, i would have felt burned by the purchase.

So yeah, this game is definitely not for everyone. In fact, stay far from it if you don't like very difficult games.

Hmm... do these GwG "bonus deals" (such as Gears of War 2 and Gears of War Judgement) last until the next GwG (ie: 'Shoot Many Robots' on the 16th)? I vaguely remember XBL did this before for another GwG. Trying to figure out where to place these complimentary GwG deals within the OP.

I guess under Mystery Markdowns until further notice.

Now along with the download code from Judgment, and my physical copy I can own this game basically three times now.

Well I DO own it digitally, and physical already and have 2 Downloadcodes left for Gears 1 lol...sooo I'm glad I could get Halo Wars tonight instead =P

Oh well, I guess nothing for me at all this year, short of MS adding something to Mondays list. All in all just a big disappointment.

Ugh, can't believe I forgot to check this page yesterday.  I would've loved Dark Arisen at that price.

Anyone know how big The Witcher 2 is?

Apparently it comes on two discs in retail but it's only ~7GB on GoD?

If we got that here in the state then I'd be owning Halo Wars twice. At least if you have 5 360's and 5 TV's and abunch of cat's you could be having some sweet local multi going on.

I think one of the discs is the soundtrack.

I wonder if Xbox Rewards is going to update my Profile I should be "Master" now since I passed 75.000 GS this month...but was reading somewhere they renew their stats only on the 1st each month...hopefully that will be the case as 3% payback is better than 2% lol

My Gold is expiring soon, but my dashboard's showing $36 for 12 months.

Most deals for 12 months of Live run $35-$40, so I'd jump on that if it's available.

For the My Rewards -  My Holiday Punchcard, it says each time we spend $15 of content we get a punch.
Would this include if I buy games that make up $15?

Dark Souls is tempting to try out for $5, but I just can't see myself enjoying a game where I'm frustrated 95% of the time no matter how satisfying the other 5% is =/

They've always lasted as long as the free game itself in the past.

The game is two discs without counting the soundtrack. According to the Xbox 360 Install Sizes and loading times thread on CAG, each disc is about 7.7 Gb.

Regarding the Gears of War mystery markdowns: is any of the DLC packs for any of the Gears games marked down as well?

Alright, but I think it's best to just keep complementary GwG deals under Mystery Markdowns... personally, I was always confused to see prices in the GwG section in the previous thread; so for those who know the GwG schedule before clicking this [XBL Deals] thread would just "skim" over that section and thus the complementary GwG deals as well.

I'm pretty sure all the dlc for Gears 1 is free. Gears 2 is bundled cheaper. G3 has a season pass. Judgment... you stay away from that.

Iron Brigade is still free as of now for others who procrastinate like me.

Added it to my download list from my phone.

i guess it's more for people who grew up with megaman and games like that because honestly it's not that much different from those games, you have to figure out what works for each 'level' and progress a little bit further as you learn each time.

As a Diehard Dark Souls fan, trust me... it is not a hard game at all, it literally takes no skill for most people, its just memorization and trial and error. The skill comes from the PvP metagame. Go for it.
