am i the only one that thinks the ps4 will play ps3 games

why i think it will because u need to put the ps3 game in to the ps4 to do the upgrade

The PS3 game disc is not actually being played. A serial code is merely being read off the disc for authentication purposes. So the short answer is the PS4 will not play PS3 games.

 
I think they want to focus on their "cloud" so any PS3 gaming on the PS4 is coming from that.

 
Neither system is backwards compatible, although Sony announced a plan to support PS3 backwards-compatibility through Gaikai, a streaming service, sometime in 2014.

 
I agree - I believe it will also play Sega CD games, because clearly they are the same size as a blu-ray and will therefore fit in the drive.
