Sorry for the blurry pic. I was just in Target and saw the price tag for Knack was $39.99.  It scans at $59.99, but they honored the incorrect price for me. They didn't have any of the other games I was looking for for buy 2 get 1 (Injustice PS4, new Xcom, new Ratchet and Clank), so I just bought two other $39.99 games and returned them, making Knack $26 in the end.

Edit: I can't just paste a jpeg picture in my post? Lame.

Slightly useless if you don't specify which Target. What are the chances, another target makes the same mistake?

I was under the impression that it came into the store with the wrong tag, so that it might happen elsewhere. But if that's not the case I'll delete the thread (since they took the tag down once I spotted it).

Looks like you answered your own question.

$40 is about what Knack is worth from the previews.  Looks to be about 8 hours long without much of a challenge.

You dont know much.
Sadly, none of us do. However, the few impressions I have heard express luke-warm opinions about the games; and, to boot, the framerate is apparently very inconsistent. No way I'd be picking it up for full price, even though I'm a sucker for these types of games. Now, as part of a B2G1 sale, well, count me in.

I noticed that as well.  The sticker says $40 but it rings up as standard $60.  At least it did on my receipt for the sale.  I mentioned it to guy so he could change it.

Just got shot down at my local store even though the tag says $40. Bummer.
FYI they tried to turn me down initially because the number on the tag doesn't match the back of the box. I bought it anyway on a hunch and the number on the receipt matches the number on the tag. Also got another $5 off because of Michigan's scan error law.

My local Target salesclerk didn't even blink, just keyed in a $39.99 price override on "Knack" and then immediately generated a new price sticker for the shelf.

Went to 2 Targets earlier and it was tagged $39.99 at both of them. Grabbed the last copy at the first store to go along with the other 3 games I was getting and the clerk gave it to me for the tagged price with no hassle.

I took a picture earlier this morning (w/ bonus $100 Killzone)

The in-store demo I played had a rock solid framerate but the game was pretty bland. Maybe worth a rental but there's better stuff to pick up at launch if you need a family-game/platformer (LEGO Marvel for instance).

I'm waiting until it's free on PS+ come early next year. Not knAcking it as it looks fun but you know it'll be the first retail freebie.

You can also just buy it for $59.99 along with two other games, using the B2G1 deal, then return the other two games (making it $40). I bought three games this morning (AC4, BF4, Killzone) and it says on the receipt that the return value of each game is $40 each.

Maybe Target knows something about this game that we dont, lol?
I stopped at BBY after I bought it and played the demo for the first time. I was more impressed than I expected and even a little more so that I still had fun even though it was the only section they've ever showed off in video and knew exactly what was coming. That to me was testament enough that I would enjoy it. The demo controller was so terribly disgusting though with the rubber already coming off the sticks. It gave me some crazy OCD and I still feel like I need to wash my hands in some fire.

I played the game last month and I really enjoyed the demo as it feels like Crash game made for next-gen.

I'd much rather get this than the bunch of sports and bro shooters filling up the launch list.

Picked up Killzone ... last one too. $100 and I was out the door like lightning ... felt like I was robbing Target but I got the deal!

Yep, that's how Mark Cerny's been describing it since E3 and definitely how it felt in the demo. I didn't quite get that spark that the classic Insomniac/Naughty Dog platformers have but hopefully that will show up in the full game.

Well reviews will be out tomorrow, so we should have a better sense of how "good" this game turned out. You would expect it to be solid given the pedigree of the creator, but gameplay vids haven't really wowed me so far. I actually didn't have plans to buy it until I saw the price mistake. For $26 out of pocket I'll give it a shot since I can recoup that amount easy selling on Amazon (or even trading in at Gamestop depending on the promo).

Did you play through the whole demo? The last part of it was great when you were big and all.

I think I stopped just before that because there were a couple kids who were watching and wanted to play and I felt like a big jerk that had been hogging it so I died and gave it up.

Third time is the charm! Shot down the first store, second one didn't even have PS4 games out for sale and the third one had one copy left and an associate hid the tag behind another game tag rather than pull it. I pointed out the original tag I found and the associate gave me the adjustment no grief. Win! Thanks OP. :)

Targets signage is mass produced for all the stores so it's actually pretty likely that your local Target could have Knack for 40. Just have to hope somebody didn't already beat you to it or an associate caught it and fixed it already.

Ran to Target before they closed, sure enough was listed 39.99, but passed because I wasn't sure what other 40 dollar games to get. Might go back in the morning, any suggestions?

Did anyone buy Knack at $39.99, along with two other $39.99 games, and then return the two you don't want? $26.66 doesn't sound bad for Knack at all, since they'll prorate the three games equally.

I'm debating this right now. I picked it up with 2 copies of Pokémon X thinking my brother might want to buy the extra off me but he wasn't interested. Now I'm trying to decide if I should return it or give it to a friend of mine that can't afford to pick up all but the absolute must haves for him. Pokémon is not possible for him right now as money is tighter than normal since he was unemployed for so long so I thought it'd make a cool surprise. His birthday is coming up in three weeks but I already bought him that Final Fantasy art book a few months ago for him as a birthmas present. Maybe I should give him the art book for his birthday and super surprise him with the game on Christmas? He already knows I bought the art book, still don't know how he figured it out since I haven't even taken it out of the box Amazon shipped it in.

I mentioned doing this in the OP. Reviews are out today and seem to be pretty middling. I'm debating selling my copy now while the getting is good or making an attempt at playing/enjoying it. I have 4 other PS4 games for launch on Friday, so I could see me not even bothering with this game for awhile.

Killzone reviews aren't looking to good either.
Yep, I bought it in the B2G1 from Amazon knowing full well it probably wouldn't be the greatest game but figured if it was awful I'd just flip it. At least it sounds like Killzone is worth a playthrough and I couldn't care less about the MP.
