Can't put it down. I wish they would make more games like this. If you like turn based jrpgs this is one you don't want to pass up.

I didn't even like the demo, but I'm impressed with it. The 3D is actually quite good too, which normally I play in 2D.

After playing demo and seeing art I was excited. Biggest compliant on the game is how linear it is. Sense of exploration is imaginary.
I also do not mind grinding. It comes with playing JRPGs and is something I enjoy. This game does it really well with encounter meter and auto battle. However, the amount of JP needed to get certain skills can lead to your team being OP early on.
I think the game can improve on a lot in the sequel, but the short answer is I'm thrilled to see something this fresh in the JRPG genere.
Also, I loathe Agnes. Really don't care about the story, then again I'm game play over story type of person. Seeing Ringabell and Edea go at it gives me a nice laugh, but Agnes really kills the game for me. Cannot stand her. I often find myself skipping important cut scenes.
"I cannot do this, the burden is mine blab blah blah "
We get it.

In Ch.7, mostly cause I haven't been playing as much in the last week or two. I still like it. I skipped most things in 5 and 6, so I don't feel like it repeated too much. And 7 changed it up a bit.
What I didn't like was that the dialog didn't change, for the most part. And I've been using the same weapons since at least chapter 4, cause I'm still using the weapons from the town. I no longer feel like I'm progressing, so to speak.
I would have liked to have a way to not be overleveled. Such as MMOs having difficulties for instances.

It would have been wise to lower EXP - but keep earned JP - after defeating the same enemies over and over after leveling up.

I'm enjoying the game quiet a bit. I like the fact that it's linear and you can get to point A to point B just fine. The different jobs and abilities are great. I love that you can change random encounters to your desire. I agree with EvilChamp about lower EXP and gaining more JP. I would prefer the Golden Egg to still offer JP or have an item that only increase JP.

I recieved my graded bravely default collectors edition and it got a 90+ From vga.
What made you decide to get it graded? How many games have you sent for grading before?
I'm just curious. The only games I'd grade are retro, newer game prices fluctuate like crazy.

I decided to get it graded because of rarity and how many boxes were destroyed by amazon. Only other item i had graded before this a 95 pikachu 3ds xl.. Grading keeps me from opening it or destroying it for later collectibility. The investment is also cheap to what people have offered me for the pikachu 3ds.. I paid 300 total and have had few offers over $800.What made you decide to get it graded? How many games have you sent for grading before?

It's the most blatantly padded JRPG I've ever played and the story is completely uninteresting to me, yet for some reason I really like the game. The interplay between the different jobs is what I really love - there's so much potential for creating incredibly overpowered characters.
I do really despise the padding, though. I think I might have been OK with this back when I had a ton of free time - but I don't really have that luxury anymore. I don't think I've ever played a game for forty hours and then thought - "I wish I could do everything I just did, again." Not to mention the BS fetch quest for the Performer job - Point A "You need to find this thing. Go to the other side of the map." -> Point B "Go to the other side of the map." -> Point C "Go to the other side of the map." -> Point D "Go back to Point A." -> Point A "Hey look! I had it the whole time!". Boo.
There's a reason I like Chrono Trigger and Radiant Historia - no padding, no BS. So well paced and they're over in a completely reasonably amount of time.

I finally beat it this morning. I thought I was going to have trouble towards the end, but I did not.

So am at chapter 6 and almost near the end of it... Just wanted to clarify something... Can you do the bad ending and the true ending in the same playthrough?
No. I'd recommend pushing for the true ending, then going back and doing the normal ending afterward. After the true ending, your save file will be at the beginning of Chapter 8.

Um, yes you can. I did bad ending in chapter 6 or 7, and it drops you off right before the fork.

And when you say before the fork? Do you lose out anything if you do bad or true ending 1st?
The "fork" is when you decide to do the bad ending. You don't lose out on anything.
