As we all know, the earbud included with the system sucks. I've tried using the iPhone 4 and 5 earbuds (which I've been told work), but the chat doesn't seem to work. I've also got the turtle beach x4's and the razer chimera headphones for 360.

So, a couple of questions. Is there something I need to do to get the apple earbuds to work? And is it possible to get an adapter or something to get my 360 headphones to work on the PS4?

I couldn't get my Apple earbuds to plug in far enough for the mic to work. They're too tight. I bought the PSVita headphones from Amazon ($12!), but while they work flawlessly and sound good, they hurt my left ear after a while (I need to try the smaller ear thingies and see if that helps).

Still hunting too....

Looks like they're no longer $12. I would've bitten at that price. Dang.

I need to find decent earbuds with a hard mute switch, because it's a pain to go through the PS4 menu to mute the mic when I'm talking to people in the room.

Looks like they're OOS from Amazon and only available via 3rd parties. Just wait and see if they get some back in.

The PSVita headset has a hard mute switch (although, it's pretty small).

I'm hoping someone can weigh in with some high end headphone input in this thread. For the PS3 I had a 5.1 set up but it's not ideal for an apartment and I had to turn it down during MP because my mic would pick up the sound if I had it loud enough to be effective.

I have a plantronics headset I used to use for my pc I'll have to try it but I have to find it first. I've recently moved so who knows where it can be.

this is my biggest complaint for the PS4 right now. i posted on there official blog as well. the included ear bud is to big for my ear and it hurts like hell if i stuff it in my ear. PS4 has the option to 'sync bluetooth device" so im like alright cool, i'll sync up my ps3 bluetooth sony headset...."not compatible" so i then plugged in my Pulse elite sony headset "does not recognize device" surely this is something that can be fixed in a patch? i have the ps camera but i hate the idea of using that as my microphone.

I am using Astro A50's and they work fantastic. I notice that when at least one person in a party that has a sony ps4 earbud causes echoing(I hear myself)

when I was in a party with my Astros on and the other guy had some turtle beaches neither one of us noticed any echoing. long story short the ps4 ear buds suck..

The camera works well as a mic. I've been using it(accidentally at first) but it has worked well for now. I can't wait for them to get the patch ready for the pulse headset.

I have the Turtle Beach PX5's which were amazing for the PS3. They sound just as good for the PS4 but I am waiting for the PS4 Chat cable to arrive at my house. I cannot believe that SONY blew that one when they released the system that there is no bluetooth chat available. Stupid mistake.
