Edit: it looks like Sony has clarified that this deal is NOT available from the PSN store as linked below, but rather was referring to the same deal available from various online and physical outlets. Sorry about that everyone :( Highly misleading front page if you ask me. As of right now (11/29, 2.30pm central), the deal is still available on amazon. Haven't checked other places.

However it looks like the deal has not gone live yet; it says 11/29/13 only. I tried to get a subscription but the price was still $49.99. I do not know if they mean a specific time zone. Curiously enough it also says "while supplies last". Uh?

Anyway, looks like a great deal if/when it actually goes live.

Just saw this other thread where it is also going to be $29.99 at a bunch of retailers. The Sony direct thing wasn't mentioned tho. Might be worth it if they give you a code instead of waiting for a card to ship?

 
Amazon gives you a code direct, plus a $5 instant video credit.  But this could be nice if you can buy two and get the $10 back from spending $60.

That's my thinking as well. I would never use Amazon video money anyway. I just want to know if buying 2 years through my SEN account means that I get $10 back for spending $60. I think we'll actually be 2 cents short of $60 but we can buy a filler item. Anyone?

Hoping it does count towards the Get $60, get $10 back. It would be a consolation if the Newegg eBay deal is gone within seconds.

Gah, all of these deals on PS+ makes me wish I didn't already have my subscription extended to October 2017....any think that the program won't be around by 2018?

 
Buying direct is better for me since I have a ton of PSN credit to use up. Already have a 12mo code I bought for $40 over the Summer, but it's nice to stack. Might just buy two years on PSN to get the $10 back.

i think 2017 is good enough, if you really want just get 1 more year. personally I wouldn't go beyond that, never know what that the situation will be like around that time, ps+ might no longer exist or you might not even be playing games anymore at that time(the later wont be an issue for me, I'm more concerned about the first part. GAMER FOR LIFE!)

just go to Wal-Mart and get the cards. They have tons in stock and the cashier didn't even know there was a limit of 2.

Keep getting an error on the GS site, whoever has the code available first gets my money. I just want to go to bed and this is the last thing I am waiting for.

 
Jeez Sony's site even though it says $29.99 changes to $49.99 right now when you click on it and Gamestops server must be getting hammered.  Also Amazon hasn't updated yet either.  

 
Don't forget if they let you buy more than 1 or actually if you wana buy a buncha stuff..and you have an amex blue cash offer..goto your offers section before buying the cards on your amex account and save the 25 back for spending 100 at sony ...and you can get $100 worth of stuff and get 25 statement credit back in 3-4 days :) though it says it takes up to 8 weeks :p but usually doesnt..

 
god dammit, why must everything US related must follow PST, as if its the only freaking time zone in the US. really wish businesses would at the very least start setting up their deals at 10am est or something for at the very least us east coast folks dont have to stay up till 3 in the morning that way we dont get screwed. but seriously, screw it, I'm off to bed. last night i waited till 3am hoping amazon would have FF theatrythem for $10 but instead just cut the price by 3 measly dollars. If the deal is still up by the time I wake up, great, if not, screw amazon and sony for thinking PST is the only time zone in existence. 

 
Does buying the PS+ time direct from Sony automatically add to your existing sub or do they send you codes?  Just wondering because I was planning on hanging on to one of the codes in case they have one of those redeem a year and get +3 months promotions later down the road.

Edit: Nevermind, you have to add it to your cart to see the discount. It's just a physical card and not digital, though.

If you buy the card from somewhere else, will it still count towards the spend 60 to get 10 free promo once you actually add the card to your psn account?
