Yes, but PS+ costs far more, and with it you're only renting the game until your subscription expires, then you lose the game.
You can spend $30 and get these two games for one year of use plus dozens of other titles too. And even if you don't play multi-player on PS4 or don't care about cloud saves, you'll still want to continue the service just for the new free games added (and the additional enjoyment of your "rentals"). Anyone who views PS Plus as simply a rental service seems a little short sighted. I do understand and appreciate the advantages of physical media, but PS Plus offers such a tremendous value, it's hard for me to understand how people trivialize that value into referring to it as a rental service.

Agreed. Anyone with a PS3 and no PLUS is just an idiot. Keep buying games for your "backlog" that you will NEVER play, that is a waste of munneeee!!

See I'm of the opposite mindset. I'd rather not keep dumping money into a rental service, but rather buy games I can keep for good. I do go back and play older games, something I could never do with PS+, which is essentially free money for Sony.

Me too. I mostly used PS+ to buy a bunch of digital games at a better discount. But it sucked to have to pay $50 each year to keep playing the handful of games I downloaded that actually were good, and knowing that eventually I couldn't play them anymore made me just stop subscribing. I was tempted to get in on the $30 deal but my PS3 HD is almost full and I have enough of a backlog between Steam and PS3 anyway. It just isn't worth it to me.

Same here. I collect games as well as play them, and I'm perfectly happy to play "last gen" games for a LONG time. I will have more than enough to cover me until the inevitable XBONE/PS4 slims and price-drops, so I don't feel bad about my monumental backlog at all.

I missed getting Ico/Colossus, but I will wait again until it's $10 to pick it up. I do have it on my PS+ membership and would eventually like to own it.

Or you know, I can play the games in my backlog and not give Sony my money for nothing. But I guess I am an idiot.

Excuse me.  I just bought a 360. Any good $10 game that I should play? I prefer kinect..

ZOE2 is a good game. But honestly IMO no where near the masterpiece it's made out to be.
ZOE1 is better than people make it out to be. Both are great games.

It's also funny that Kojima didn't make an HD version of Portable Ops because he said he didn't want to do it because he didn't direct it.

Well he didn't direct ZOE, OR ZOE2 either. He was only a producer..

Just checked the links and these 3 are no longer $10

Little Big Planet Karting

Heavy Rain Directors Cut

Street Fighter X Tekken

Grabbing Twisted Metal, Playstation All-Stars and Zone of the Enders (360).

These are nice prices :D

EDIT: Blah, fuckles. Just noticed that Zone of the Enders isn't Amazon fulfilled :\. $4.50 shipping kills it for me.

Guess I'll just pass on the whole order. Twisted Metal and All-Stars will probably be relatively easy to find around $10... so meh.

"Are there any good $10 games for 360?" I prefer Kinect.

There aren't any good Kinect games out there, other than a backyard game of "Smash the Kinect: Hammer Time!" :whee:

The entire lot of Kinect games aren't worth $10 combined. There are, however, tons of great, non-doorstop games for 360 that should be close to $10; Fallout 3, New Vegas, Oblivion, Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Bioshock 1 & 2, Dead Space 1/2/3, Borderlands 1 & 2, Gears of War series, Dishonored, and on and on. There are literally hundreds of good, if older, titles to choose from...not only for 360, but PS3 as well.

You do understand that these games on PS+ are tied to your account and if you delete them you can go back into your download history at any time and redownload the full version of them right???

And you do realize by rental service he means you have to pay for PS+ to access the games on it right? If you stop paying for PS+ then you can no longer download all of the game you have on it. So it is a rental service of sorts, you don't actually get to keep those games forever or anything, you pay to be able to have access to them.

[duplicate post website's error]

no delete button, and hide button is not available on mobile phones. Come on guys, it's an easy fix...

I was really hoping that Mac Payne 3 would be $5 when people have been running $10 sales for months.
they do this all the time, and CAGs seem to always flock to it regardless. These aren't deals lol. They bump it up and then slash the price back down to the SAME PRICE IT HAS BEEN FOR OVER A YEAR. In order to be a successful CAG, you have to be much more than just cheap. You have to have common sense.
