Picked up two and got hit with tax. GS tried to hit me with tax too when I almost bought it through them. I guess its a NJ thing, would not surprise me.

 
No $5 video code applied an hour after I bought it. I'll see if they send an email about it tomorrow and if it still isn't there contact them I guess.

Really strange that they charge tax on the PSN Card. Oh well, just a heads up to those in CA I got taxed on mine.

Customers will receive an e-mail notification within 48 hours after their order is complete with instructions on how to redeem the $5 AIV credit. The promotional credit must be used by December 31, 2013.

Heh - yeah, I read the "Black Friday only: Get $5 Amazon Instant Video credit with purchase of a 1-year Membership" part and not the part on the box off to the bottom (that you quoted). Hell, I didn't even know this was part of the deal when I originally bought it so it is all a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

I so often forget to use these video credits anyway. I think I had $25 worth last year and let it expire.

I have a feeling this will auto-apply to your account though I would really like it if they sent a code instead. Then I could put it on my wife's account since she owns the Prime membership and that is where we keep all the digital stuff. Renting a movie using my account would be a pain. Had I known about the code in advance I would have bought the card on her account - d'oh!

No tax in Chicago. Bought one on Amazon and Games top since I just woke up and am half asleep ordering shit online (killzone mercenary). That South Park amazon episode is sooo tru.
 
No tax in WI and we now get taxed from Amazon. Guessing because it's digital.

Does anyone know how long this is valid for (the actual code)? Would like to hold off redeeming them in hopes that they have a "buy 1 year get 3 extra months". An extra one and a half years on $10 more than the normal annual subscription ain't bad!!!
 
I got an extra year for $25. For some reason, I think the $5 credit for the Playstation Store on Amazon I got when I bought The Last of Us Season Pass applied, so I spent half of the normal price!

I did consider getting a second year before the PSN started shafting us all with all the traffic being too much for their servers, and I am hoping the code I tried to redeem didn't get botched cause of their screw up.

On another note, I looked at the current coming soon list for this year and I think that unless the library picks up in the next few months, June 2015 expiration for my PS+ will be just fine; Plus, if they do another PS+ promo during the holidays next year, I'll look into buying again.

 
Yeah, I knew I should have waited for Amazon. I purchased the code from GameStop.com around midnight, and about 14-15 hours later, my order is STILL under review. As in, still no code. 

Oh well.

At worst case scenario, I still have plenty of PS+ time left on my account from when I purchased the Vita PS+ bundle a few months back.

 
^ At the moment? I have tried 3 different times (1am, 5am, 3pm) with no luck.

I bought one when the deal first went live at 1am Pacific and it did not work then either - also didn't work just now when I tried it.

People are saying it is because of the European PS4 launch but I'm not buying that. I was able to get onto the PSN store and buy a game and download it within minutes with no problem. So that is an actual use of network resources and it worked fine. Redeeming a code should be considerably easier - so either something is wrong with the codes they are sending out or as you say it is the code redemption part that isn't working.

I'm getting taxed from both Gamestop and Amazon for the card. Went with Amazon because of preference and I might actually use that $5 video credit.

 
No tax in VA, bought two 12mo codes from Amazon.  Redeemed one after repeated attempts, haven't tried the other yet.  Great deal on PS+ subs!

 
is there a limit on how far can you stack..

im paid right now till  MAY 2016  picked up  3 that would push me to MAY 2019

im guessing that is good enough   who knows if  PSN  would even be around in 2019

Finally got processed and received my code. Phew. Only took them 4 hours.

 
PS+ extended to June 2016.  Used my video credit on the HD versions Inception and Pacific Rim.  Credit taken off per item so Pacific Rim was $7.99 and Inception was free.  It's currently $4.99.

I bought two around noon, and still am not able to redeem my codes. Keeps giving me an error message, whether I try on my vita or ps3. ANyone else still having this problem?

I'm guessing it has something to do with PSN being down and the PS4 launch in the EU, hopefully all works out tomorrow.

I have some GC credit on one of my amazon accounts but it isnt the one I use for AMZ instant. Are you guys getting codes for for the AMZ video credit or just applied to account directly?

 
Bought one, no tax in MD.  Still waiting on my AIV credit.  Debating if I should just go ahead and get a second one.

 
Grabbed 2 codes earlier but haven't even tried to redeem them yet. Didn't want to commit to more than 2 years at once since I'm sure we'll see deals like this again.

EDIT: Wasn't charged tax here in Missouri.

I bought one from Amazon today and I got $5 off of the purchase due to some promotion.  I have no idea why, but I was happy to get a code for less than $30.  Of course, I'm getting an error code every time I try to enter the Plus code onto my account, but hopefully that gets cleared up.

I got $5 off too. Its probably from a promotion for buying some PS4 games a while back.
I also redeemed the code without having any problems.
