Dexter Complete Series: Amazon DOTD $179.49B/$149.99D

Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed Dexter for the most part (up until the last couple of seasons), but $180 for it seems less of a value than $200 for Breaking Bad. But...8 seasons for that price balances out, I suppose. If it had UV, it would probably be worth it.

Too expensive for me, still. But it's a couple hundred off retail, so I figured I'd post to let others know.

Does the show really take a turn for the worse after season 4 (Currently watching it through Netflix). After the shocking ending to season 4, I can see the show turning downhill. I don't think what happened makes any sense, nor was necessary.

The show is on and off with each season. It's how the show copped out in the final season that left a bad taste with a bunch of people (including me). It's like...you enjoy the journey, and you expect the destination to be worth the trip, but you get there and the destination is not what you expect.

Oh, okay. I've been told the same thing by quite a few people. So far the show has been good. Well once Netflix finishes uploading the rest of the show, I'll find out.

Season 7 was my favorite. It's worth continuing after season 4 for that season if nothing else. 5 was boring, 6 was stupid, 8 was both. But the 5 great seasons that are there still make it my favorite show of all time.

5 is ok, 6 is a stinker, 7 is one of the best, 8 is good for about the first 4 episodes, then the rest of the season sucks.

im rare in that i enjoyed 5 because quite frankly im glad the person who dies at the end of 4 died because that person was annoying as hell. i also find season 5 an interesting follow up on that point.

the problem is after season 4 there just becomes no point to anything. the show just gets stuck in "defeat the boss and move on" mode. its not what happens at the end of 4 so much as the show stops growing.

season 7 while really good could have happened in half the time and replaced season 6 and ultimately season 8 renders most of the entire show pointless. season 8 and really the last 4 episodes kill the show.

i will say while season 6 is kind of just there...it was interesting and probably the most original of the seasons. its also kind of fun in that the main villain mirrors dexter. also the villains factions are less random and have a bit more thought to them.
