Hmm says something about " if you don't install it now you loose it forever" hope this isn't true as I am away for the holidays and don't have my laptop... its in my game library so I hope it still works in a few days when I get back

Funny, when I added to my library it said it's mine forever lol .

It was a joke, you just have to click the install/play now button and it gets added to your library

I hope so too. The announcement says:

To claim your L4D2 gift, all you need to do is install it.

If you don’t install, it goes back to its regular price and you miss out! The zombie apocalypse is more fun with friends so make sure to tell all your mates to install it as well.

But it's possible whoever wrote the article is using the word "install" to mean "add it to your steam account."

if they did it i think is fair, i mean... you don't want L4D 2 offered up for trade in these forums for the next millenium due to people abusing the system right?
